Wedding Show @ Artemis : A Green and Sustainable Wedding

The sort of wedding I envision is perfectly portrayed in the images right below. The minimalist garden themed world of Artemis’ wedding showcase held last Sunday was stunning. It’s exactly how I imagine my wedding to be. Though the wedding bells aren’t ringing just yet for me, we have already begun scouting for locations and gathering ideas. For me, it has to be a simple yet elegant affair. This chic rooftop restaurant and bar has it all.

Artemis is located at the 40th storey of Capital Green building; a stone’s throw away from Raffles Place MRT, so you absolutely can’t miss it!

During the wedding showcase, we had a full run through of the mock solemnization and wedding lunch. We were able to get the full wedding experience at Artemis. The first thing that left me in awe was the table setting. It has a good mix of white roses and leafy ferns, encased in geometrical glass terrarium pods with gold finishing. Simple yet luxurious.

From the table settings, decor, tableware to the gown, the layout was really cohesive altogether.

Artemis has this beautiful open rooftop bar where you can have a bird’s eye view of the whole city. Who needs a drone right?

I can picture my guests having some cocktails at the bar area while waiting for the wedding to start. You can even host an after party at the rooftop bar if you just want to spend more time with your guests.

The seating area is cosy and the view is perfect!

Right next to the rooftop bar is an open space where you can have your dream garden solemnization. The set-up is pretty simple – tiffany chairs, white candles with a Terrarium-inspired wedding backdrop.

So how would the bride and groom dress for such a special event?

IMG_0546

The groom wore a simple white tuxedo while the bride wore a mermaid gown, specially tailored by The Proposal, adorned with beautiful floral embroidery.

Even the hand bouquet is similar to the table floral arrangements.

In case of wet weather, you can also conduct your solemnization indoors in the rooms behind the restaurant.

After the ceremony, we enjoyed our 3-course meals which included starters, mains and desserts. The menu, customized by a team of dedicated chefs under Chef Arevalo, comprised of sustainable and seasonal foods. It features Mediterranean dishes, using only the freshest produce available. The menu will only be finalized and made known to you one month before the wedding event. They also cater to vegetarians and gluten-free diets.

The food, unsurprisingly, was exceptional. From the starters to the desserts, I enjoyed it from start to finish – even the canapés, that were served after the ceremony. The most unforgettable dish was the organic roasted chicken. It was so tender and flavourful. I believe my partner would agree with me on this!

I love dipping the wholemeal bread in fine olive oil and Dukkah spice. As for the mains, their organic roasted chicken tasted so soft and tender. It was super gratifying – even for my boyfriend.

If you were to make Ferrero Rocher into a cake, this would taste exactly like it. It has a creamy chocolate layer with a crunchy and delectable base. The crystallized orange slice added that refreshing citrus note to it.

A raised platform is available, which your wedding singer/band can use to entertain your guests, cut the wedding cake, and make those emotional and grateful speeches to your guests.
