The Art and Science of Marvel Avengers

I have not stepped into the ArtScience Museum for quite some time, and I was pleasantly surprised by its new layout and spaces. The ticketing level has moved to the basement floor, and the cafeteria area on level 1 had expanded. It’s always nice to have a cafe in the museum so that you can always get some coffee and cakes after viewing all the exhibits.

Current Exhibitions

FUTURE WORLD: Where Art Meets Science

(Permanent Exhibit)

This time, I came to check out the most popular exhibit that has become this must-visit spot for Instagrammers – FUTURE WORLD: Where Art Meets Science. In this month of September, they introduced several new art installations to this permanent exhibit. In our opinion, we felt that there are not many changes to the exhibit. The highlight of this exhibition is none other than the Crystal Universe where you can get a fantastic picture against the dazzling LED lights.

Wind Walkers: Theo Jansen’s Strandbeests

(23 June – 30 September 2018)

The other intriguing exhibit we checked out Wind Walkers by Theo Jansen. If you are into modern art and sculpture, you will enjoy this exhibit as you get to discover how Theo Jansen creates this massive wind-driven, beach-walking creatures made with PVC tubes, satay skewers, and tape.

Marvel Studios: Ten Years of Heroes

( 9 June – 30 September 2018)

Last but not least, we checked out the other main exhibit, Marvel Studios: Ten years of Heroes. This exhibit is very impressive, I must say. There was a lot of thought put into designing this exhibit to make it highly-immersive and educational for all. I actually learn about how Marvel Studios bring their Superheroes to live. I am not a die-hard fan of Marvel, but I love the exhibition because I discover so many cool and fun facts while touring all the galleries. It’s one of the best exhibits at ArtScience Museum by far.

I am not a die-hard fan of Marvel, but I love the exhibition because I discover so many cool and fun facts while touring all the galleries. It’s one of the best exhibits at ArtScience Museum by far. Even if you are not a fan of Marvel, you will be amazed by how Art and Science are woven into each Superhero.

I enjoyed the way ArtScience Museum share the Art and Science behind each character with an easy-to-read information board and interactive stations. There’s even a small cryonic chamber displayed to explain how about Captain American preserve his life. And who knew that the days of the week has something got to do with one of the Marvel Avengers, Thor? Do you know that Thor is an actual character in Norse Mythologies?

Understanding the inspiration behind each superhero has shed some light on the history and origins of the Marvel Avengers. Also, it reveals the creative use of Science and technology to tell an epic story that has got the whole world hooked.

Most importantly, what comes next after all the movie, Avengers: Infinity War? What happens after Thanos wiped out all the Avengers? Could Ant-Man help?
