Summer Pancakes at Botanical Gardens @ Food For Thought

The food and ambience is so fantastic here that we have to make our second visit here at Food For Thought once more. This time we tried their brunch and breakfast items. A must-have for breakfast is their decadent pancakes that would get everyone crave for more.

Brunch Set ($8)

You’re able to select any 3 sides. Here we have scrambled eggs with cream, garlic mushrooms and chunky sausages. The garlic mushroom was awesome! But then again, fried garlic with mushroom always tasted good anyways.

Chinese Chicken Cesar ($10)
Verdict: So-so. I would not order it again.

Grilled Basil Pesto Chicken ( $9)
With fries and a canned drink (additional $4)

Verdict: The Basil pesto sauce was the key ingredient to make the burger taste great. The chicken was tender and the large chunky fries were crispy.

Mixed Berries Pancakes ($10)

All of their pancakes are served with fresh cream and gula Melaka syrup.
This pancakes were way better than the ones served at Strictly Pancakes! It’s huge and has a nice golden brown colour. It also has that nice toasted taste. The fresh cream was indeed fresh and their gula Meleka syrup tasted not quite like honey or maple syrup but it gives some sweetness to the pancakes without overpowering the taste of the fresh cream. It’s a pancake great for the Summer!

Old-fashioned Southern Red Velvet Cake ($5)
It’s a must-try and a must-eat cake!

Pink Ombre Cake
Verdict: Some find this cake taste weird. The cream cheese filing tasted alright to me. Order this at your own risk.

Bread and butter pudding with vanilla sauce ($6)
Verdict: Not that fantastic.

Fudgy Chcolate Brownie ($4)
Verdict: Tasted like good old brownie to me.

It’s summertime!
