The Story of Amethyst
The beauty industry is ever-changing. Every few weeks or months, there would be a report about a breakthrough in cosmetic science industry about a new ingredient that is beneficial for the skin. More than often, it’s a plant or botanical ingredient that claims to cleanse pores, remove dead skin cells, improve skin texture or moisture and plump up the skin cells. There’s this constant belief that natural beauty is achieved through the usage of pure and natural ingredients which Earth mother has provided us with.Aside from natural botanical ingredients, Ginvera has recently launched a new series of skin care products that features an ingredient that was buried beneath the rocks, found not on a tree but right underneath our feet.
A purple gemstone that reflects light
The amethyst is a type of quartz that is violet in nature and is a material used in jewellery-making.
Just like Pearls, this gemstone could be “jewellery” for a healthy and radiant skin.
Mineral Aqua Gel
The Skin Eraser
This product is fun to use.
All the excitement is in dead skin cell flakes that comes off easily when you rub the gel into your skin.
It is akin to a gentle skin exfoliator that will sweep up the dead skin cells and clump them into flakes which looks like eraser dust. Smoothe the gel across your face gently and rub in a circular motion to remove the dead skin cells. I recommend leaving the gel on your face for about 20 seconds for the gel to be absorbed into the top surface layer of the skin for a better exfoliation of the skin. This is a good substitute for facial scrubs or other skin exfoliators which can be too harsh on people with sensitive skin.
Remember to wash off the flakes thoroughly with a facial cleanser.
Mineral Bubble Face Wash
Foam or bubble facial wash will be the new generation of facial cleanser. The fine bubbles can clease minute pores easily without adding too much pressure on the skin .This gentle foam of cleansing reduces stress on the skin while cleansing. But I’m not really a fan of the smell of the foam.
Mineral Aqua Whitening Enhancer
You can double up this product as a moisturizer. In my opinion. this serves more like a hydrating toner. Remember to include a lightweight moisturizer into this skincare routine.
The Science behind it.
This active ingredient, like most crystals, radiates a magnetic field which can help to energise and replenish lost energy from your body. To some people, it may be surprising to know that our body do radiate a small magnetic field due to the presence of electrically-charged ions in our body. For an average Joe, the science behind this beautiful gemstone maybe too complicated but what is beneficial about this variety of quartz is that it improves the overall energy levels of our body and enhance micro-blood circulation in our body. When used on the skin, it acts as a skin energizer and keep the skin radiating with a glow.
As mentioned in my previous blog post, there is a hype about this beauty ingredient which helps in locking moisture in our skin. This active ingredient is recently found in several skin care products like masks and hydration toners.
This ingredient is puzzling.I haven’t heard about this ingredient before. It did not provide me with rampant results when I did a google search.
But it is believed to provide minerals to nourish and rejuvenate skin cells.
Can anyone enlighten me on this?
Available in all major supermarkets and pharmaceutical stores in Singapore.
