The Soup Spoon @ Bugis Junction : The Crusty Pot Pie Experience

The Bread Bowl Experience: Crusty Pot Pie ( From $11 to $13 for a Set Meal)
( Soup of your choice served with salad and Ice tea)

If I’m out and didn’t want to splurge on expensive meals, this is the place I would frequent to satisfy my tastebuds and remove my hunger pangs without burning a huge hole in my pocket. Eating out these days can be really expensive and most people would usually turn to fast food outlets to fill their stomachs but I would prefer having something healthier. The Soup Soon is the perfect place to get yourself a light, hearty and healthy meal.

This is my first time trying out their crusty pot pie.
Simon and Garfunkel Chicken and Mushroom Ragout
6 types of Mushrooms: woodsy Portobello, smooth Oyster and Abalone Mushroom, the Oriental Enoki, Shitake and Button mushrooms
Foursome herbs: Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

This is a rich cream-based soup which has marinated chunks of chicken brewed together with 6 different types of mushrooms and 4 different types of herbs! If you’re feeling really hungry and wanting to consume something more filling, this would be a good choice of soup. If you are on a diet and want something light and healthy, you should go for pumpkin soup which has only 130 calories in it! This has to be one of my all-time favourite type of soup.

Roasted Pumpkin with Caramelized Apple and Toasted Almonds
I like that the pumpkin soup is thick and has a slight sweetness to it that is not too overpowering. The herbs added to the soup gives it a pleasant savoury taste that would satisfy any tastebuds.
Sipping on a hotpot of warm pumpkin soup on a rainy day is one of the most comforting experience you’ll get.
