Do you remember those days when we are still a frisky and oblivious kid who loves nothing else but anything which is high in sugar? Coca-cola, Sarsi, Paddle pop icecream and gummy bears… During my childhood days, I remember drinking cold soda almost every other day. Yes, it’s crazy. I would have gotten ill with long-term diseases if I continue my high sugar diet. But as I was growing up, I gradually become more health-conscious and prefer drinking beverages like tea, coffee and juice. I especially love drinking tea for it’s pleasant aroma and that slight amount of caffeine that perks me up on those sleepy mornings and afternoons. My favourites are Earl Grey, Canomile, ginger and any fruity-flavoured tea. Girls would usually go for Earl Grey, a full-bodied perfumed black tea that has a unique aroma.
What’s your favourite cup of tea?

Recently, I have been introduced to an interesting herbal tea that has serves a specific purpose. It’s a sugar blocker tea. Yes, it’s an all-natural herbal tea that helps to reduce sugar absorption in the body. According to its packaging, this tea is suitable for diabetics and the weight and health-conscious as it maintains healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels. A sachet of tea consists of Gymnema and Camellia Sinensis (Green tea). It tasted like normal black tea except that it has a slight bitter aftertaste. I would take a sachet of it after a heavy meal. It’s nice especially to enjoy a cup of hot tea on cold rainy nights. It’s been raining alot lately in Singapore!
