|Amuse-Bouche: Little treats to tease the tastebuds|
Salut tout de monde! I’m back here with more recipes as I’m spending more time at my nest, reading, watching tonnes of movies, blogging and of course, cooking. Mummy just bought back some fresh ripe Thailand mangoes which tasted so pleasantly sweet! It tasted delicious on its own and wouldn’t it be a pity if I did not use this yellow fleshy fruit to whip up something yummy in the kitchen? I could use the mangoes as a main ingredient to create an appetizer or apéritif (as what the French calls it or sometimes, as hors d’oeuvres). In France, they usually serve this to guests before a meal with some wine.
So here’s my recipe for single, bite-sized hors d’oeuvres which I’ve created. I just love how the citrusy and fruity taste of the mangoes interwine with cinnamon spice. The cream cheese helps to harmonize the two sharp flavours from the mangoes and cinnamon and the crackers gives you that nice crunch.
