1-World Music Festival was cancelled a few days prior to its stipulated event date. Now, it’s MBS Korean music wave’s turn to wave us good-bye with their recent turn of events. To all music concert-goers, don’t be too disappointed yet. Let’s look on the bright side with Sundown Festival 2013 happening right here in Singapore this coming Saturday on 16 November 2013. Nope, the sun isn’t down yet. It’s just the beginning for music fans from all over Asia (and foodies included).
This year’s fifth annual Sundown Festival 2013 will be held at the grounds of F1 Pit building at Marina Promenade. It’s annual festival to celebrate Asian’s music and culture with aims of bridging the cultural diversity of Asia and bringing closer ties across the various Asian countries.
The up-and-coming headlining acts from eight Asian countries will be gathered together to perform on the main stage. The performing artistes includes Screw, D=OUT, AOA, Bosco Wong, Shao Yu Han, Yoga Lin, Nidji, Rico Blanco, Rock Steddy and No More Tear !
This 8-hour long celebration of Asian culture and music also includes cultural performances such as “the barong” (storytelling dance ) from Indonesia, Tinikling B-boys (a mix of traditional pre- Spanish tap dancing with bamboo poles and breakdancing) from the Philippines and muay thai from Thailand.
