ORBIS Petit Shake : Replace Your Meal With A Fruity Shake

IMG_1590

Because of my hectic lifestyle, I don’t often have the time to prepare a healthy meal for myself on days where I had to get up at 6 am and make a mad dive for work. Sometimes, I would grab some muesli bars or packets of nuts and stuff them into my bag. For quite some time, I really thought that I could survive on muesli bars to get a clean diet but eventually, I got sick of having to eat the same food everyday. Getting meal replacement drinks did came across my mind but you must know that most meal replacement drinks out there may not taste that pleasant or appetizing. So I was pretty glad to have found ORBIS’s One Meal Replacement PETIT Shake that comes in yummy tropical fruity flavours!

The meal replacement drink comes in a form of sachets like the ones shown above and all you will need is to mix in some milk with the thick syrup-like liquid found in each pouch. When mixed with milk, it has this thick, viscous and slightly creamy texture that looks and taste almost like a fruit smoothie. Unlike other meal replacement drinks, ORBIS PETIT shake is less fibrous and smoother to gulp down just like any other drink.

Taste-wise? It’s so fruitilicious that I wouldn’t mind drinking a glass of PETIT shake as a form of a supplement or meal replacement.

These travel-friendly tightly sealed packs are convenient to bring around.

I prefer to drink the shake with soymilk.

Empty the contents from the pack into a cup. It’s a thick liquidity syrup that contains 10 kinds of vitamins, iron and a water-soluble dietary fiber. Each sachet of one-meal replacement PETIT Shake makes up approximately 150 kCal.

Then, add about 100ml of chilled milk and stir. The calcium found in the milk will react with the pectin (a thickening agent used in PETIT shake) to create a viscous and smoothie-like texture.

I tried these 4 limited edition tropical flavours and I must say that the mango flavoured shakes really rocks my socks off! Besides, adding soymilk, I would also blend the mixture with half a frozen banana and a tablespoon of acai powder to power up the smoothie drink!

And if you’re a health buff like me, do check out other healthy snacks offered by ORBIS like their ORBIS soy cookies and PETIT bars that complements with any healthy diet.
