Do you use a primer before you slather those make up on your skin?
I didn’t quite like applying make up as it often gives me a breakout problem. So before I put on makeup, I usually apply a base primer or moisturizer which act as a barrier between my skin and the makeup pigments. But very often base primer comes in a form of a cream base which feels heavy on my skin so to know that the Collection Cosmetics Primed and Ready Makeup Primer comes in a form of gel, it’s pretty refreshing.
I haven’t heard much about this UK brand that caters to mainly young women but it’s different a make up brand worth checking out as it’s one of the cosmetics brand that is against animal testing.
What does a primer do?
It does the job of ‘priming’ up the face or to prepare our skin prior to make up application by minimizing pore sizes, smooth uneven skin and hide unsightly blemishes so as to ensure a smooth and even application of your favorite foundation.
My Verdict:
Based on Collections primer packaging, I wasn’t too impressed as it looks rather tacky and the tube was rather small in size, almost like a sample pack size. But looks can really be deceiving because I was taken aback by what this primer does to your skin. Its silky gel-based clear formula gives my skin a light, velvety and smooth feel. I apply it thinly across my face and applying liquid foundation on my skin becomes a breeze as I found myself using lesser liquid foundation to even out the skin tone. This is probably due to the fact that the primer grips on to the makeup pigments, ensuring that the make up stays longer on the skin.
Not only my skin feels smooth after using the primer but it also made my skin looked matte. If I need my makeup to last for hours on my skin, I would turn to this best kept secret.
Hush.
Price-wise, it might came across as an expensive primer for its small volume of 18 ml that would probably only last you for a month. But this is high quality makeup that does wonders to your skin.
