Buongiorno! It’s been a couple of days now ever since I got back from my 12-day trip to Europe. It’s terribly cold and dry over there and my skin hasn’t been at it’s best condition. All I need is an intense moisturizing treatment to boost up the hydration levels in my skin. Thus, it was really timely that I received an jar of Red Wine Anti-oxidant Night Jelly from FOR BELOVED ONE.
This product was inspired by Red Wine Face Masks which was recommended by Taiwanese Actress-cum-Singer Barbie Hsu in her beauty book titled ‘The Beauty Queen’. I’d rather drizzle red wine over my skin then to drink it. Maybe alcohol isn’t that bad at all.
It is sort of like an overnight gel mask where you simply massage into your skin till the product is fully absorbed and you can leave it overnight for it to work its magic with it’s 4 main ingredients.
Premium Red Wine Polyphenols Extract: The red wine polyphenols, a powerful antioxidant is extract from the finest red wine in Southern France.These are readily absorbable anti-oxidants serves to repair the skin and maintain its firmness and resilience.
Patented pharmaceutical Lactobacillus Ferment: It prevents skin dullness and evens out the skin tone.
Matrixyl: It promotes collagen proliferation and smoothes out fine lines.
Chronodyn: This accelerates skin’s metabolism, promote circulation and repair any damages caused by harmful UV exposure during the daytime.
Verdict: I like the fact that it comes in a gel form which is soothing and calming for the skin. It is highly absorbable and it took me about 10 seconds to massage all the product into my skin. It leaves my skin feeling supple and smooth when I woke up the next morning. This is somewhat different from the leave-on overnight mask as the formula is not that rich and it doesn’t leaves the skin feeling tacky at all. The lightweight formula suits my combination skin type as products that are too rich can end up clogging my pores.
I apply the night jelly every other alternative days and would use it right after applying serum. There isn’t a need to rise after that; just leave it on overnight. It moisturizes, restores, repairs and seals up all the other skincare nutrients which I had massaged into your skin before that. It’s like an overnight mask except that it’s translucent. But it also be used as a day mask where you could apply a thick layer of product over your face and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off.
I might bring some of this product onboard the next time I travel. It’s better than to use this night jelly than to put on a facial mask that might scare the neighbouring passengers.
