Runninghour 2015: Run, Because You Can + Contest

We are a nation that loves to run.

Some of us run in the name of fitness.

Some of us run in the name of bonding and spending time with love ones.

Some of us run in the name of adventure!

And some of us just need to run away from our worries.
We are indeed lucky enough to have a pair of healthy strong legs to run.

But what about those who have difficulty in moving their limbs?
From Hello Kitty Run to Colour Run, that’s how we incorporate fitness into our lifestyles. I particularly like to join those runs with a cause. Perhaps it’s a run for a greener environment or a charity run to raise funds for the less fortunate. It’s meaningful and can be very impactful too.
This year I was invited to join Runninghour 2015: Run So Others Can. It is a mass running event that will be happening on 22 March 2015. What is so meaningful about this event is that participants will be running alongside over 200 visually, intellectually and physically-challenged runners. In addition,
there’s also a unique Blind Run category where runners can experience what is like to run with a visual impairment. Participants will run in pairs, where one will be blindfolded and will be guided by the other. It’s only by understanding the difficulties others faced that we began to treasure and appreciate what we have blessed with.
Want to join me in this meaningful event to raise awareness of the physically-challenged?
