Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula White & Even CBB Cream and White & Even Dark Spot Corrector

White Vs Black
White or black?
In the name of beauty, females these days champions fair skin over dark skin. I’m quite taken aback as my blog post on getting fair skin always make it to the top. But I don’t think fairer skin is as beautiful or even perfect if your skin tone is not even. For instance, my skin has a fair undertone but it isn’t even as I have some pigmentations. So ladies, don’t just pursue Snow White’s fairness but also an even and bright skin tone that brings out youth and radiance in your skin.
I guess that’s why Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula has came out with their White and Even range of products which consists of their CBB cream, Dark Spot Corrector and Correcting Eye treatment. I haven’t tried the correcting eye treatment from their range (though I would love to try it quite badly!) but my current favourite and recommendation from this White and Even range is their Dark Spot Corrector. For a well-establish skincare brand that specializes in skin moisturizers, I must say that their product benefits are still one of the best when it comes to hydration of the skin. On top of that, their products are free of parabens, phthalates, sulphates, harsh dyes, synthetics dyes and fragrances. That makes it suitable for most skin types.
The key feature of the product is their Tone Perfecting Complex which includes the following ingredients:Cocoa butter, Soy, Licorice extract, Synovea, Vitamin C, Niacinamide. This complex lightens skin surface cells producing a more even skin tone within a few days and acts on the deeper skin layers to inhibit melanin production. This range of products will benefit those with dark spots, age spots, uneven skin tone, post-acne scar, sun damage and skin discolouration.

Palmer’s White and Even Dark Spot Corrector $29.90/30ml

I was hesitant to try this product at first because I thought it would be too rich for my skin based on the look of their product texture which is quite thick, almost like a lotion or serum-type of formula. But thankfully, it suited my skin perfectly and didn’t cause any breakouts though my skin is really prone to breakouts especially whenever I try a new product.

It was such a coincidence that I was facing pigmentation and uneven skin tone issues and here’s a perfect opportunity for me to tackle my skin issues. My pigmentation and uneven skin tone issue is probably due to UV exposure, acne-scarring and dryness in the skin.

For me, I use it as a moisturizing serum and spread it thinly across my whole face. After 3 days of using it, I found that my skin started to feel more hydrated and brighter. However, I suggest that you use it on targeted areas (e.g dark spots) first to see how it works on your skin.

Verdict: 9/10

This is perfect for those with dry and uneven tone skin. I am not too sure whether it works in lightening dark spots as it might take a couple of weeks to see its effects but I am really liking the brightening effect on my skin as it makes my skin appears more luminous.

Palmer’s White & Even CBB Cream (Fair/Light) $22.90/30ml

This CBB cream or correcting beauty balm could be use as a lightweight foundation or primer. As mentioned in the product, its coverage is not that strong so foundation or concealer is needed. It just works well in evening out the skin tone to make it appear more uniform under makeup. However, this product is for those with a slightly fairer skin tone as highlighted on the product itself. It contains mineral pigments which doesn’t clog pores but to remove the product itself, you will still need a makeup remover to remove it thoroughly. I myself is not a fan of tinted foundation-base products as I felt that compact powder is sufficient for me to even out the skin tone and it is also easier to remove it from the skin.

Verdict: Recommended to those with skin which is less prone to acne and has very fine pores. This CBB cream will work to even out the skin tone and at the same time protects your skin against sun exposure.
