It’s time of the year to invest on some good skincare products that would suit my mature skin as youthfulness slowly slips away. I am no longer using drugstore skin care products for teens. Neither am I using over-priced skincare products that is way out of my budget. I still go for brands that offer great quality and effective products at pocket-friendly prices. As I’ve come to discover, that has got to be Innisfree. Also, I was looking for a brand that supports the environment and uses largely natural ingredients as its key ingredients. Innisfree fits the bill.
So that explains for this haul. It costs me about $120 for 4 products with an average of $20 plus per product. Affordable? Yes!

They love to throw in free samples and gifts which you spent more than $50 or $100. They even reward you with credits whenever you shop there! The perks are pretty awesome.

They gave a different sample every month. Last year, I received a sample pack of the best selling products. This month, I received their sleeping packs that comes in small sample sizes. And if you like it, you can buy the full-sized product the next time you visit Innisfree. That’s a good marketing strategy for us idiots.

Innisfree Orchid Gel

Innisfree Orchid Gel Cream was proclaimed to be the best beauty buys by a reputable local magazine. How great is this? Excellent! I am loving this moisturizer now and I’ve stopped using bamboo gel by The Face Shop as a moisturizer.

Jeju orchid has its oustanding antioxidant effects and it makes this a good anti-aging product for mature skin. Some of its stated benefits includes wrinkle correction, elasticity, skin tone and pore care.

I love it that it is a gel-based product that is not too thick or rich. I was contemplating about getting this because I saw that the Green Tea series also has a gel moisturizer but I knew this would be more suitable for my dry skin as it is a little more richer. It’s creamy but not too creamy.

See what I mean?

It glides gently across the skin and gets readily absorb in 5 seconds.

Innisfree Eco Safety Aqua Perfect Sun Gel

I was dissapointed in their sunblock which is cream/lotion-based as it clogs my skin. Now that they’ve got the gel-based version, I was also quite weary but I decided to give it a try. So far, it is okay but I am not too sure if my current breakout is caused by this product so I am still using it sparingly to test it out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The sunblock is formulated with sunflower oil and hyaluronic acid so it has a nice refreshing floral scent.

Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Scalp Scaler

I am still struggling with my scalp issues so when I saw that Innisfree has their own scalp product, I decided to try. There aren’t many scalp products in the market by the way.
IMG_4381
It contains natural essential oil complex and Jeju green tea and mint extract which deeply cleanse the scalp. Remember to read the directions before using. I regretted not reading it beforehand because you are actually suppose to rinse it off! I guessed my scalp is heavily clogged now.
Directions

1. Apply evenly onto your entire scalp.

2. Leave the formula on your scalp for 3 to 5 minutes and gently massage the formula into your scalp.
3.  Rinse off the formula with warm water and use a little more shampoo than usual to wash off the formula.

Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Serum

I tried the sample previously and that’s how I came to know this green buddy.
IMG_4383
It is enriched with fresh green tea seeds and freshly squeezed Jeju green tea. I promise you will dance and swirl as if you are in the fields as you are massaging the serum into your skin. Another favourite! Mark this product down people.
IMG_4384
I like that Innisfree would mark out the expiry of each product so clearly on its packaging. Most of their products have a shelf life of 12 months once opened.

Innisfree promotes recycling and reducing of wastage. Just emptied an Innisfree product? Keep the bottle and bring it to the store on your next visit and drop it into their recycling bins!
Even their packaging are printed using soyink and made using eco-friendly material. But it would be even better if they can think of ways to reduce their packaging.
Have you tried Innisfree products? From the land of Korean dramas and Kpop? Let me know.
