The Green Staycation

Part of the reason why I enjoy doing staycation is because you don’t have to leave any carbon footprints by travelling to another country just to have a vacation. After all, air travel leaves a higher carbon footprint as compared to the usual mode of transport via car or bus.  If I just need a little breather or a retreat, I like to check-in a hotel that practises sustainability and promotes conscious living.

In Singapore, it’s not difficult to enjoy a green staycation when our city has already prides itself worldwide as a garden city with many parks and gardens dotted all over out little red dot. Though there aren’t many green hotels, there are hotels in Singapore which are stepping up their green efforts.

Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, for example, is offering a green staycation for those eco-conscious individuals.
They are offering a Green Staycation package for guests to recharge and rejuvenate. This curated package includes the following:• One-night stay in a Superior Room
• Daily buffet breakfast for two people
• Fast and free WiFi all around the hotel
• Gifts from mindful local artists and entrepreneurs:
