Sundays are the best days to gather your family members and spend some quality time together. What better way to spend it than to have a good brunch together while the kids have fun playing while the adults get to take a break and enjoy the scrumptious food fare.
There’s a kid-friendly restaurant in Nusa Dua, Bali which you wouldn’t want to miss. It isn’t just a restaurant that serves kid-friendly meals but there’s also a spacious play area for the kids to frolic under the sun and have tons of fun with Westin Family kids club team who will be there to supervise all the activities. At Prego, they’ve got a weekly Sunday Brunch that has attracted families to come relax, dine and bond.
I’ve got the opportunity to celebrate Halloween with the spooky-looking team at Prego who were all dressed in dark Halloween costumes, floating across the restaurant with their creepy smiles as they serve us Blood Mary and delicious Halloween treats.
Prego is an Italian restaurant which is led by Chef Alessandro Molini and his team. They have just clinched the Best Restaurant Bar & Cafe Awards this year!
Guests who dine at Prego also have access to the inviting swimming pool which is located right next to the restaurant itself so you can take a dip in the pool first before heading over to Prego for a lazy afternoon brunch.
Before going for the ‘all you can eat’ buffet, we went to get our Halloween special welcome drinks served by the staff who were dressed to the occasion. You can sense their team spirit from the moment you step into the restaurant as all of them were coordinated in their dressings and when someone accidentally breaks a glass in the restaurant, the whole team cheered and clapped. Yes, you needn’t feel bad about yourself when you make a mistake. Such positive spirit is enlivened by the work culture where that strong ‘kampong spirit’ prominent. Even kids were allowed to roam around and play at the grounds. That must be the Westin’s unique culture.
And if your kids are those who are constantly on a sugar rush, you will be spared from having to entertain them as there are outdoor and indoor activities to keep them engaged.
The activities carried out are very meaningful too! It requires them to exercise their creativity and thinking skills to complete the activities. An example of such activities is pizza-making, sandwich-making, and cupcake decoration.
There’s also a live grill station where you can watch the chef prepares all the delicacies. That’s Italian Chef de Cuisine, Alessandro Molin at the grill!
The restaurant also has a dedicated dessert station serving up an assortment of sweet treats including cakes, crepes, chocolate fondue, candy pops and cotton candy. During the Halloween Sunday brunch, we are spoilt for choice. Scroll down and you will see what I mean.
Look at all the details and intricate decor at the dessert station! The team went all out to make this occasion a special and memorable one for the guests.
WARNING: You may drool onto your smart devices which can potentially cause electric shocks.
Pink chocolate fondue?
At Prego, it also presents a semi ala carte menu where selected dishes are prepared at the open-plan kitchen. I prefer such buffet style so that the food could be served warmed and this discourages food wastage too.
The highlight of the brunch is this magician that goes around to entertain the guests with card tricks and hat tricks.
You should try their seafood dishes and Italian pizzas which are some of the outstanding dishes prepared at the buffet.
I am pretty sure you will leave with a smile with Westin’s impeccable hospitality and service.
