The Westin Resort Nusa Dua: Heavenly Spa

Bali has always been this haven for rest and relaxation. When it comes to spa treatments and retreats, they offer one of the very best when in comes to service and quality of treatments. Traditional Balinese beauty rituals have been passed down from generations to generations over centuries. Their approach has always been natural, well-balanced and gentle, using natural herbs and spices to beautify and regain wellness of the individual.

There is no lack of great spa experiences here in Bali if you wish to have a more uplifting spa experience, The Westin Resort’s Heavenly Spa is one of such award-winning spas which you must include on your list.

The Westin Resort in Bali is situated at Nusa Dua which is down South from Ngurah Rai International Airport. And Nusa Dua is a well-known enclave of 5-star luxurious hotels so the security in the region is rather tight. And the beaches there are beautiful beyond words.

Within the magnificent grounds of Westin Resort, there lies a wellness spa centre fully equipped with spa facilities such as a sauna, steam room, and hydropool. It will do you no justice if you decide to spend an hour there or so because you will be enticed to stay there for at least a few hours just to enjoy all the facilities they provided. And if you fancy doing some yoga or meditation in the morning or late evening, you could also register for their yoga classes and practise yoga at their spacious patio surrounded by the lush greenery.

I had the privilege to spend my morning at Heavenly Spa while I was in Bali a week back. If you would like to know more about my first Westin’s spa experience, read on and allow me to take you through my spa experiences there.

The Lounge

I was ushered to this lounge area where guests can rest and relax before or after their spa treatments. Before the treatment, the therapists served us a cold glass of lemongrass ginger drink each. Their service was really prompt and impeccable. They are always around when we needed assistance.

From the series of photographs, you will also notice that lighting is dim to create that relaxed atmosphere. It signaling your body to switch off the alert mode and be in that state of calmness.

The Changing Room

This is where you can find all their thermal facilities from their hydropool to their sauna and shower rooms. They also do provide lockers to store your belongings.

In each locker, there is a pair of bamboo-woven slippers, bathrobe and bath towel all prepared ready for you prior to each spa treatment. I do pay attention to all these little details which really facilitate me to get ready for a rejuvenating spa experience.

Hydropool

This hydropool consists of a hot jacuzzi pool and a cold tub. It is recommended that you soak yourself in the hot water first to ease tension in your muscles then submerge yourself in cold water to awaken your senses.

Showering Rooms

Bath amenities like shampoo, soap, and conditioner are all provided for. Even body lotion and deodorant and provided as well. At the dressing table area, you can find hair dryer, combs and hair ties too.

We actually dip ourselves in the hydropool first and showered before going for our treatments.

The Spa Treatment Rooms

We had a couple spa treatment room to ourselves as my mum was with me and she did the Heavenly Spa signature massage while I did one of their new facial treatments using products from Maria Galland Paris.

Ther are a total of 16 treatment rooms and beachfront massage pavilions for those who prefer to be closer to nature during the treatment. Their list of spa treatments also extends to kids which make The Westin Resort a family-oriented resort which welcomes children of all ages. They also offer treatments, inspired by elements of nature, for both men and women.

The couple room has a bathroom and toilet attached to it.

Maria Galland Paris Facial Treatment

In fact, Heavenly Spa by Westin has just announced their partnership with internationally renowned skin care brand Maria Galland Paris to bring an exclusive range of facial treatments. Maria Galland Paris is a leading skincare brand that was established over fifty years ago by a talented French dancer. She teamed up with a top dermatologist to develop a treatment concept and today, Maria Galland Paris products and treatments are available in salons and spas all over the world.

There are seven different Maria Galland Paris facial treatments offered at Heavenly Spa. The Revive Facial is a soothing ‘extraction-free’ treatment performed with Maria Galland Paris products and customized aromatherapy oil. I did the Revive facial which is a one-hour facial which uses products to cleanse, revive, replenish and hydrate. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Towards the end of the year, Maria Galland Paris will also be introducing Diamond Essence, a new facial to address the effects of modern living and the damage caused by pollution. This limited edition facial has deep moisturizing properties and works to give the skin a natural lift.

Heavenly Spa Signature Massage

My mum who has been contributing so much for the family has finally got some time to spare just to pamper herself. I was really glad to take her on this trip to Bali with me. The Heavenly Spa Signature massage was perfect for her as she wanted a massage with medium-pressure strokes just to release the tension on her back muscles. It is a Swedish massage done with a heated compress on the back to also help stimulate blood circulation. She mentioned that this massage was better than any other massages that she has done in her life.

At the start and end of the treatment, the therapists would sound the chime to signal to us. It is a gentle way of waking our bodies up after the treatment.
