We might not be in Italy but we get to enjoy fresh gelato made by an Italian living in Singapore who runs Alfero Gelato. Marco Alfero makes his own gelato from scratch and his gelato contains no artificial flavouring or additives but only pure goodness from natural ingredients. For this Christmas, Alfero Gelato came up with two new flavours – mango yoghurt and strawberry crème fraîche. You can expect the mango yoghurt to taste like mango ice cream with added sourish yoghurt taste and strawberry crème fraîche to taste like strawberry ice cream. Flavour-wise, there’s nothing really fancy to shout about but the smooth texture and creaminess factor of the gelato is really something to rave about. It is just like eating fresh homemade gelato which is made just a couple of hours ago. And the best thing is that you can have fresh gelato right at home as they sold take-home packs at their main outlet in Macpherson.
Alfero Gelato uses fresh milk from free-range cows, whipping cream, egg yolk, pure fresh fruits and other high quality ingredients to churn out their creamy gelato.
Who says you can’t enjoy gelato for breakfast?
When you have tasted gelato this fresh and good, you will never want to buy store-bought ice cream or gelato again. I am really inspired to make my own gelato too!
