After 3 years of hitting the gym and going for group fitness classes, I decided to make the switch to home-based workouts where I could easily get my workout done without having to travel all the way to the gym. That’s when I decided to try  – Ultimate Body Fitness Guide to see if this might do the trick to motivate me to do the exercise. My workload was also getting heavier and I didn’t have the time and energy to make a trip to the nearest gym. Thus, exercising at home or running in my neighbourhood seems like the best alternative. I not only save on gym fees but also on transportation fees. More time was freed up and perhaps, it seems like a more sustainable way of keeping myself active.  It wasn’t easy at first because there isn’t any form of routine and you just keep procrastinating; pushing back the time reserved for exercise. I didn’t do it regularly at first but I will try to make it a point to do workouts at least two to three times a week.

So, how does it work?

is a 12-week Step-By-Step Fitness Program which includes a series of high-intensity workouts that would really kick your butt off. These workouts comprise of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) circuits for maximum power and fat burning. It takes about 24 minutes to complete each circuit and all you might think that it looks rather simple. On the contrary, the exercises were quite challenging and it gets progressively more difficult with each subsequent week.

The training program consists of 4 cycles of 3 weeks which could be completed across 3 months. What makes this fitness programme so successful is the after-burning effect – also known as the #BossEffect. I felt it right away after completing workout where I continued to sweat even as I’ve stopped working out. There isn’t a need to attend an hour of gym classes or running on the treadmill just to burn calories when you can simply perform a series of prescribed exercises which are effective in burning fat.

The workout plan targets the whole body. I particularly enjoy doing those exercises which target at the inner thighs and arms where the fats accumulated there are more stubborn.

And for beginners or those who do not work out regularly, this guide is equipped with all the information you need to start your own fitness regime. It consists a FREE bonus 4-week pre-training programme for beginners and even a detailed description on how to perform each exercise. It’s important to perform each exercise safely and effectively to get beneficial results and I’m glad that they included some notes on how each exercise should be done safely and properly.

Currently, they are offering both the online and printed version of the training programmes which are offered at the same price. I prefer to get the hardcopy format where I could make notes on it and have it placed right in front of me when I carry out my workout. I do wish that the fitness guide also comes with a little journal booklet calendar where I could take notes and track my own progress.

I have just completed Cycle 1 and am moving on to Cycle 2. It was about 3 weeks since I’ve started this programme and I’m just glad that I managed to stick closely to it. I was motivated to complete the workouts as I was excited to complete the workouts within 3 months and to witness the results. At this point, it’s still too early to see a distinct physical change but I’m proud of myself that I am starting to exercise regularly without procrastinating simply because it didn’t take very long to complete the workout and it could be done right at home. All I need was just some space and a mat (occasionally a pair of dumbbells or filled water bottles which can act as weights) to carry out the workout. Come to think of it, it is more eco-friendly to exercise at home then hitting the super-packed gym. Fewer carbon footprints, less waste and more money save. I totally recommend trying out such fitness guides where you can do it right at home.
