Wild Butter Co. – 3 Healthy Ways Enjoy Peanut Butter

Peanut butter? That was so yesterday. Today, Wild Butter Co. takes you to the wild side with their gourmet peanut butter which is freshly churned with olive oil.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been toying around with their peanut butter to see how I can have fun with it and at the same time discover new ways of savouring these nut butter. Previously, I’ve tried their Almond Maple Cinnamon, Early Grey Peanut and Matcha Peanut. I’ve narrowed down to one favourite – Matcha Peanut. Read about my previous blog post on Wild Butter Co. here.

Since the Matcha Peanut was so divine, I had requested for another bottle and tried out the other two types of nut butter which were the Crunchy Kokoa Peanut and Cookies and Cream Peanut.

The Crunchy Kokoa Peanut Butter consists of Peanuts, Dark Chocolate, Digestive Biscuits and Sea Salt. The digestive biscuit bits gave the peanut butter an extra crunch and texture and I like that it was not too sweet. However, I wish the dark chocolate taste was stronger and richer in flavour. I couldn’t really taste that mild bitterness in the dark chocolate. But nonetheless, it’s an interesting twist to chocolate-flavoured peanut butter and you can’t go wrong with chocolate, can you?

Cookies and Cream Peanut Butter also has that chunky texture. In it, you have Peanuts, Oreo Cookies (contains partially hydrogenated oil), Sea Salt and Olive Oil. Should Oreo ever create their own ‘Oreo butter’, this would be it.

So, other than spreading peanut butter on toasts, what else can you do with it? Here are 3 healthy ways to jazz up your meals with peanut butter.

1. Make Healthy Bliss Balls

You can add butter to your cake or cookie batter for sure. However, if you prefer a healthy and guilt-free treat, go for bliss balls. To make them, simply add one cup of coconut flour and mix in with some soya milk and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. You can even add some quinoa puffs, granola or chia seeds to the mixture as well.

The other day, I made Red Velvet Bliss balls using Wild Butter Co.’s Crunchy Kokoa, cocoa powder and beetroot powder. It turned out so delicious! For Matcha Bliss Balls, I mixed in the Matcha Peanut together with coconut flour and then covered it with some melted white chocolate. Yums!

2. Dip Biscuits/Pretzels/Crackers into the Peanut Butter!

I enjoy coating crackers or biscuits into Wild Butter Co.’s Matcha peanut butter. Since the Matcha Peanut butter has a smoother and creamier texture, I find it so much easier to coat the biscuits with it. That is why I actually prefer peanut butter which is more smooth and less viscous because it is easier to incorporate them into recipes.

Do you know that you can create your own Pocky sticks by dipping long skinny biscuits into the peanut butter?

3. Blend it into A Milkshake or Smoothie

So previously, I shared that you are able to blend nut butter (like cashew or almond butter) with some water to create nut milk. Likewise, you are also able to blend these gourmet peanut butter with some milk or water. In this case, I prefer using soy milk to blend the butter up into a thick and creamy milkshake. You can even toss in some fruits like strawberries or bananas to shake things up.

Enjoy!
