I tested out two of their ‘hero’ or best-selling products: Rose Otta Facial Hydro Gel Mask and Pure Rose Otto Hydrosol. The gel mask and hydrosol compliments with the other natural skincare products which I’ve been using.
Pure Rose Otto Hydrosol (100ml)
It’s an alcohol-free toner which is designed to hydrate, rebalance and soothe the skin after cleansing. It has a really pure scent of rose and it comes in a spray bottle where you could spray the hydrosol evenly across your skin. It could be used on the face, neck and body too.
It doesn’t absorb as instantly so you would need to pat the product gently into the skin but once it gets absorbs into the skin, it kept my skin feeling hydrated for hours. Sometimes, I use it in place of moisturizer because it has an intense moisturizing effect. And if my skin is feeling dry, I would spray it over my skin after I apply a layer of moisturizer. I also like to use it to set my makeup and it also gives my skin a dewy effect.
This hydrosol also has a UV protection effect. It contains Peony extract which has a strong antioxidant property that activates the natural defence mechanisms of skin, protecting the skin cells against oxidative DNA damage caused by UVB radiation.
I don’t think I’ve ever used a toner this fantastic as this before!

Rose Otto Facial Hydro Gel Mask(50ml)
I’ve been told to use clay mask as my skin tends to produce excess sebum but I’ve always find clay mask to be too drying for my skin. On most days, I prefer using a hydrating mask like this gel mask which provides an instant hydration boost to the skin. Like the hydrosol, it also soothes, tones and moisturizes the skin. However, the hydrating effect would definitely be more intensive for this gel mask.
I would apply a thin layer of the gel mask across my face and then leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. I actually prefer using this hydro gel mask to paper tissue mask. The absorption rate of the hydro gel mask is much faster. Also, it is definitely more eco-friendly since less packaging is involved.
