New Skin Routine with Eucerin.
Life at 30 isn’t that bad after all. Other than having to shoulder bigger responsibilities and learning that you’re no longer part of a youthful group, life now is definitely much more stable. I feel more comfortable in my own skin and confident in the way I look and dress.
There are, however, some physical changes to my body. My skin has also become drier and less oily than before. My gel-based moisturizers do not provide the deep moisturization that my matured skin requires. Intuitively-speaking, I kind of knew that I had to change my skincare products but I had no clue as to which moisturizers work best for my skin type. What if it is too rich for my skin? What is it causes acne and milia seeds?
The God-sent Skincare Kit
It just happened that I’ve emptied all of my moisturizers and serums. Then came along Eucerin who have recently sent me their Hyaluron-filler skincare kit. The kit comprises their latest product innovation – Hyaluron-Filler Overnight Treatment. It’s a true life-saver for my dehydrated skin.
I’ve never tried Eucerin’s products before and I haven’t been using drugstore products for quite some time. So, to me, this was a fresh revelation. I’m excited to share with you about the science behind Eucerin’s range of dermo-cosmetic products.
Eucerin’s Hyaluron-filler Range
This revolutionary range is inspired by anti-ageing dermatological treatments. The main active ingredients found in this range is hyaluronic acid (HA) which binds to water to retain moisture in our skin. This substance is actually also produced naturally by our skin cells but as we age, the production of HA decreases.
I’ve heard of aesthetic treatments like Hyaluronic acid fillers, skin boosters and other anti-aging treatments which can be quite invasive – but not products. As long as there’s no downtime and safe, I’m all out to give it a try.
I was a little sceptical at first but after testing it out for a couple of weeks, I’m really seeing the benefits of the products. Of course, it is nowhere near the efficacy of aesthetic treatments that could produce results in a short amount of time. However, it is a promising product as it helps maintain the skin’s integrity without any side effects.
The Science Behind Eucerin’s Hyaluron-Filler Range
All the products in this range contain both long and short-chained HA and bio-active glycine saponin to enhance the skin’s natural production of HA.
Interestingly, the long-chained HA targets at the skin’s uppermost layers while fine lines originate. The short-chained HA, on the other hand, penetrates deep into the skin layers.
Day Time Skincare Routine
I was given their Hyaluron-filler concentrate and Day Cream with UV protection to use during the day.
Eucerin Hyaluron-filler concentrate
The concentrate is stored in these small 5ml bottles. It has this lotion-type of formula which has a slight yellow tint. After swiping my face with some toner, I would apply this a pea drop of this concentrate all over my skin. It really helps to hydrate the skin before applying the day cream which acts as a moisture barrier to lock the moisture into the skin.
Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day Cream (Dry skin)
I’m really appreciating the benefits of using day creams which contain some amount of SPF and UVA protection because it just helps me to save time. Instead of applying four products on my skin in the morning, I only had to reach out for three products right now – toner, concentrate and day cream.
The Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day Cream contains both UVA and UVB protection. It gets absorbs into the skin quite easily too.
Eucerin Hyaluron-filler Overnight Treatment (30ml)
This is Eucerin’s star product which probably one of the best skincare products I’ve used in my entire life. To put it into layman’s terms, this product contains gentle peeling and wrinkle-filling agents to help rejuvenate and plump up the skin overnight. The product is meant to be left overnight on our skin to work its magic and to be washed off in the next morning.
Innovative Dual Chamber System
A single pump of the product dispenses an ideal balance of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) complex and Hyaluronic acid (HA). AHA is a gentle exfoliating agent which helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells to reveal a brighter and more radiant skin. HA, on the other hand, is an effective hydrating ingredient which is commonly found in dermal fillers to plump up the skin.
I’m guessing that the reason why the two active formulas are stored separately in two compartments is that both formulas would lose its efficacy when mixed.

Benefits
True indeed, my skin feels soft and supple the next morning. My skin has not felt this way for a really long time.
After consistent use of this product for about a week, I noticed that my skin looked brighter and more even in tone.
Because the formula feels great on my skin, I enjoy using this product every night to the extent that I actually do look forward to using it every night. It sounds strange but I guess my skin is loving this stuff.
Eucerin Hyaluron Filler Night Cream
The night cream helps to stimulate the production of HA in the skin. It is also formulated with Dexpanthenol (a.k.a Vitamin B5) that speeds up the skin’s regeneration process.
Verdict
I enjoyed using all of the above four products thus far but what impresses me the most is their Hyaluron-filler Overnight Treatment. It is one of those products which I do not mind making a re-purchase, especially when it is so much cheaper than getting a dermal filler or skin booster treatment.
These products would probably be more suited for those above the age of 25.
With these effective anti-ageing products around, looking young in your thirties, forties or fifties doesn’t seem too difficult.
To effectively reverse the ageing of your skin, you would also need to eat well, drink lots of water and have sufficient rest in bed. More importantly, stay positive and explore this world with child-like wonder.
