Peptide Perfect Facial
I’m so glad to be back at SkinLab The Medical Spa after trying out their Pumpkin Glow Facial Treatment. This time I was here to review their latest Peptide Perfect facial at their Jurong Point outlet.
How does this SkinLab facial help to brighten the skin?
This is a 120-minute facial which is specially designed by SkinLab’s in-house doctors to instantly brightens and hydrates the skin. The main active ingredient used in this facial treatment is PerfectionPeptide P3 which helps to reactive the natural peeling process of the skin.
PerfectionPeptide P3
As we all know, our skin renews itself every 28 days. However, as our skin matures with age, the natural peeling process of the skin starts to become slow and irregular. Even for myself, I started to notice this change in my skin too! Because of this, I’ve been incorporating more exfoliating skin products into my skin regime.
With PerfectionPeptide P3, it helps to restore this natural skin peeling process by breaking the bonds between dead cells at the outermost layer of our skin. When this skin renewal process is enhanced, you will start to notice an increase in skin hydration.
This facial also uses glycolic acid which helps to dissolve dead skin cells on the skin surface. When the dead skin cells are stripped away, a renewed fresh and bright skin is revealed.
SkinLab Facial Treatment Room
Like their outlet at Bishan, their treatment rooms are relatively quite spacious. You will feel more at ease and there is a space within the room to store your personal belongings.
Skin Cleansing Process
A double cleansing action step is done on my skin before exfoliation.
Exfoliation Process
The skin therapist applied a layer of a solution and cream containing skin exfoliating agents which gently helps to dislodge the dead skin cells and at the same time, hydrates the skin. The product formula also contains Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) which is responsible for maintaining adequate hydration of the outermost epidermal layer.
Next, she uses a gauze to gently slough away the product along with the dead skin cells.
Extraction
This facial also includes extraction. As you can tell, my skin is still recovering from some red blemishes. Hopefully, the active ingredients used in the facial will help to reduce the appearances of these skin irregularities.
Eyebrow Trimming
One of the perks of going for regular facial treatments is the complimentary eyebrow trimming service. Most facial salons like SkinLab usually include this optional step.
PerfectionPeptideP3 Ampoule
After all the basic facial steps, my skin is ready to absorb the active ingredient, PerfectionPeptide P3. This is probably that one ingredient which will help resolve my current skin conditions.
The skin therapists used the Ultrasound function of SkinLab’s OxyGeneo 3-in-1 Super Facial Machine (by Pollogen) to infuse the PerfectionPeptideP3 ampoule into my skin. The ultrasound enhanced infusion allows for a deeper penetration of the active ingredients into the skin. It is a painless and soothing process which also helps to calm my skin after the extraction step.
Double Masking
They applied two different masks onto my skin. These masks help to minimize the pores and lock in the active ingredients into my skin.
Verdict
To achieve a longer lasting brightening effect, it might require a few more treatment sessions (at least 4 to 6 sessions). I believe that it takes time to witness the benefits of PerfectionPeptide P3 which can potentially help to the brighten the skin.
