Thanks to Guzman Y Gomez (GYG), we can enjoy Mexican fast-food in town. It’s been quite some time since I had a burrito or nachos from GYG. I’m so glad that there are now back with a new menu item – California Burritos.

California Burritos
They are also known as Cali Burritos, in short, and they are simply burritos which are stuffed with meat and french fries. In GYG’s version of Cali Burritos, there include Skin-On-Real-Potato fries, grilled meat, tomatillo salsa, chipotle crema, Jack Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole and Pickled Jalapenos.
Previously, they used to stuff rice and black beans into their burritos. Now, they swopped it out for potato fries!
Cali Spicy Pork Burrito
I sliced all the burritos into halves with a knife, so that you can see all the sumptuous goodness packed in it. And do you know that GYG is big on ethically-sourced free-range meats? They used free-range pork and chicken in their outlets across Australia but I’m not too sure if they used a similar type of meat produce here in Singapore outlets.
Cali Mild Chicken Burritos
I prefer their Cali Chicken burritos over the beef and pork ones as I’m more of a ‘chicken’ type of person. The grilled chicken chunks were moist and tender.

The best part about these burritos is the generous amount of guacamole which was stuffed into it. The combination of the meat and potato fries was lovely too. Wrapping fries together with the meat in a burrito had made it so much easier for any fries-lover to enjoy the best of both worlds in one neatly wrapped-up burrito.
GYG Nacho Fries
Craving for more fries? GYG Nacho Fries are served with melted Jack Cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole and a meat filling of your choice.
Churros with Dulce de Leche
GYG’s churros are awesome. They might taste even better than the ones I had at posh restaurants. What’s truly amazing about their churros is how they got the ratio of the crunchy outer layer to soft doughy inner layer of the churros right. The bitter-sweet chocolate sauce balances the sweetness of the cinnamon sugar-coated churros. It’s so yummy!
