Entering into a Cabinet of Curiosities with Cirque du Soleil

I count myself really lucky to have watched Cirque du Soleil’s performances twice (Totem and Kooza) in Singapore. And every performance never fails to amaze me – from their elaborated costumes, acrobatic stunts, witty jokes to whimsical soundtracks – everything is pretty much en pointe.

It’s one of those performances which you should at least catch it once in your lifetime. And here’s your opportunity to do so as Cirque du Soleil is returning to Singapore with their latest touring show called ‘KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities™.’

KURIOS – CABINET OF CURIOSITIES

This show, presented by M1 Singapore, will premier under a new grey-and-white Big Top from 5 July 2019 on Bayfront Avenue. The Big Top is located next to Marina Bay Sands.

KURIOS is Cirque du Soleil’s 35th production since 1984. In addition, this internationally acclaimed show will mark Cirque du Soleil’s sixth production in Singapore, under the Big Top – after Saltimbanco in 2000, Alegria in 2002, Quidam in 2005, Totem in 2015 and Kooza in 2017. The Story

KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities, written and directed by Michel Laprise, is a story about a crazy scientist (“The Seeker”) who is convinced that that is another hidden world out there where everything seems impossible is possible.

Hidden in his curio cabinet is a troupe of outlandish characters – made up of world-class gymnasts, acrobats, contortionists, hand-puppeteers, wizards, clowns, actors and musicians. Together, they transform the Seeker’s mechanical world upside-down in an attempt to ignite the Seeker’s imagination.

Get ready to be transported to another fantasy realm where the invisible dimension exists!
