It is made with natural ingredients
Cheers to my health-conscious and vegan friends! This non-alcoholic lager is brewed from scratch with natural ingredients. According to the ingredient list printed on the label, Heineken® 0.0 consists of water, malted barley, hop extracts and other natural flavours.
Okay, wait a minute. Is it 69 or 70 calories?
I was told that it contains only 69 calories but it states 70 calories on the bottle. Is that part of their marketing strategy? Or could it be that by the time you crack open the lid, 1 calorie of energy would have been expended? I will let that pass since it is only a difference of 1 calorie.
It has 6% carbohydrates, 4% fibre and 2% of calcium. Does that mean that 88% of it is water? I hope so.
It tastes just like beer
Heineken®’s Master Brewers had successfully managed to craft a non-alcoholic beer which tasted just like beer, except that it is lighter and more refreshing in taste. The malty taste is not as strong as compared to other regular beers but the overall taste of the beer is still palatable. In fact, Heineken® 0.0 has a less bitter aftertaste as compared to regular alcoholic beers.
It has ZERO alcohol in it
I’m not a fan of alcoholic drinks except wines. So having this non-alcoholic beer beverage as an alternative is fantastic. For drivers who love to party till midnight, be responsible and opt for such non-alcoholic beverages instead.
I’m hoping that Heineken would one day venture into making sweet dessert beers. Now, that will definitely get my attention.
Heineken® 0.0 is available in 330ml bottles and 330ml cans. You can purchase them at all major supermarkets, petrol stations and convenience stores in Singapore.
