There are not many hotels across the world have their own house label of beers and wines. But here in Singapore, this hotel group has decided to launch its own beers and house pours.
Just a couple of days ago, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) launched their own house label of beer and wine called M Brew and M Wines respectively. Both of their speciality beer and wine labels are exclusively available across all the six Millennium hotels in Singapore.
M Brew
M Brew is proudly brewed by Singapore’s craft brewery, Archipelago Brewery. This award-winning craft brewery is well known for their creativity and wittiness in naming their craft beers.
The essence of Singapore is encapsulated in this craft beer which features flavours reminiscent of local flavours. It is infused with a fragrant pandan emulsion and thus has an aromatic coconut, roasted malt and vanilla-like finish. The M Brew is a full-strength 5.0% ABV (alcohol by volume) beer.
This craft beer will also be showcased at Beerfest Singapore from 27 to 30 June 2019 by Archipelago Brewery.
M Wines
Alongside with M Brew, Millennium Hotels and Resorts have also chosen their two house pours – Cabernet Sauvignon (red wine) and Sauvignon Blanc (white wine) to be part of their M Wines collection. Both wines are of a 2018 vintage from Australia’s Buronga Hill Estate in New South Wales.
They have cleverly paired both well-rounded wines with several signature dishes from the various dining outlets across its six hotels. So you will definitely have the opportunity to taste M Wines at any of their restaurants located across the six hotels – M Social, Studio M, M Hotel, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Orchard Hotel and Copthorne King’s Hotel.
Cabernet Sauvignon (Red Wine)
The Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied red wine which has a deep aromatic hue of dark cherry and blackberry with subtle hints of cinnamon and vanilla. This is a strong wine (13% alcohol) and it is best paired with red meats, especially beef steaks.
Sauvignon Blanc (white wine)
This white wine, on the other hand, has a clean and crisp feel with a citrusy finish. It has a fruity aroma that pairs very well with lighter style dishes like seafood and pasta. I prefer this white wine over their red wine as it is a more versatile wine that pairs well with most of the dishes served that evening. It also has a lower alcoholic content (11.5%) than the red wine.

Wine and Food Pairing
That evening, there was also an exclusive food and wine pairing session while we got to taste some of the best dishes available at the various dining outlets across the six hotels.
The Charcoal Grilled Wagyu Beef Burger from The Orchard Cafe at Orchard Hotel was a hit among the hungry guests. My other favourite is Pesto Lobster Fettuccine from Mon Bijou at Orchard Hotel Singapore too.
Each of these dishes was specially curated for local palates and it was quite a feast for us as we sampled each dish.
The M Brew and M Wines launch took place at Beast & Butterflies at M Social. The vibes here at this restaurant were amazing. And it was a great location to wind down and enjoy some drinks over good food.
I like that they even invited a caricaturist to draw us caricatures on plain stickers so that stick them onto our wine bottles.
That’s how you present a personalised gift for each guest.
