Personalise your Christmas Gifts with Canon PIXMA TS5370 Printer

Canon PIXMA TS5370 Inkjet printer review

I love receiving personalised gifts from friends. Who wouldn’t? During Christmas, I like to make customised gifts for my friends; it could be a pouch with their names sewn on it or a photo album documenting our memories. Sometimes, I would also print out photos of ou favourite memories and then use them as postcards to pen down my heartfelt messages.

One of the best tools to help me personalise my gifts is a Canon PIXMA inkjet printer. Canon’s series of inkjet printers are very versatile when it comes to their printing mediums. The Canon PIXMA TS5370, for instance, can print on glossy sticker sheets, cloth-surface paper and even magnetic photo paper. With that, I can not only print out photos or postcards but also create personalised stickers and magnets with it.

This printer I have here is a review unit I received from Canon. It is Canon PIXMA TS5370 inkjet printer in Brilliant Green. It’s beautiful mint green colour adds a pop of colour to my study and living space. Launched in August this year, this printer also comes in two other colours: black and millennium pink.

Features of the Canon PIXMA TS5370

It is one of the more affordable compact Canon printers which costs below $200. This all-in-one printer can copy, print and scan. You can enjoy wireless operations on this printer via your smart devices.

It has an ISO standard print speed (A4) of up to 6.8ipm black and 13.0ipm colour. Though it may not be as efficient as the previous Canon printer (PIXMA TS8270) I reviewed earlier on, it still does a good job of generating quality prints.

In addition, it has an auto-duplex printing capability where you can print on both sides of the paper. And you can easily operate the printer via the function buttons on the printer. Operating this printer is a breeze because of the simplicity of the printer.

Scanning Documents

I tried its scanning function and it took me seconds just to get a document scanned. To operate the scanning function, you have to first download IJ Scan Utility Lite application onto your computer first. Once you are done, you can start scanning your documents.

If you lift up the platen, you will get to see the internal parts of the printer. This is also where you change the ink cartridge.

Paper Handling

There are two paper feed – the rear tray and cassette. The maximum number of sheets it can handle is 100. For 4X6 photos and other printing media, you can slot into the rear tray. The cassette mainly accepts A4 or A5-sized printing paper.

Whenever I get stuck, I would look up for the online instruction manual for guidance. Overall, it is a very user-friendly printer to work with. And with this printer, you can do many creative prints with it! I’ve printed all the photos and postcards I needed to sent this Christmas. And prints are looking great.

My next DIY craft project would probably be Valentine’s Day! I probably would be experimenting with another Canon PIXMA printers.

Till then, Merry Christmas!
