Enjoy a Festive 2-Course Meal at Beast & Butterflies for $65+ only

M Social Beast & Butterflies

If you are planning for a romantic dinner date during the festive period, look no further than the Beast & Butterflies restaurant at M Social hotel. You don’t have to burn a hole in your pocket just to please your date. Instead of dining at restaurants with a view, why not check out this contemporary restaurant that has a swanky vibe to it?

When Beast meets Butterflies

My recent visit to Beast & Butterflies restaurant was quite an experience. I knew that they had a really ‘sexy’ bar that would appeal to most of the crowd here who mainly come to Robertson Quay for drinks, light bites and soccer. The stylish interior, designed by well-known French designer Philippe Starck, appeals to me as well. But what’s the most unexpected is its eclectic mix of food offerings – just as what their staff would phrase it as, ‘borderless cuisine’. There are just no boundaries to the kind of food they offered here. From their crispy spinach, roasted duck chawanmushi to Nasi Goreng and Rojak ice cream toast, there’s just no end to what their chefs can come up with.

Modern meets splendour

Like their menu items, you can also witness this clash of designs and stark contrast in themes when it comes to their interior. You have that golden chandelier that dangles above the glossy-looking bar tops embedded with digital screens.

And in the middle of the restaurant, you will find these marble-like communal tables that illuminate as the interior darkens. These are the minute decorative elements and details that often excite me, as a customer.

When it comes to their dishes, it did not disappoint at all. Though there are some hits and misses, their one-of-a-kind dishes performed way beyond my expectations.

Modern Festive Meets tradition

Yuletide Treats at Beast & Butterflies 2

This December, they are offering a festive 2-course menu (available from 1 to 30 December) for only $65++ per pax. The 2-course menu includes filet mignon served with foie gras, roasted chicken thigh stuffed with pesto and asparagus or cod with jet-black purée and handcrafted mini log cake with your choice of M Wine or festive cocktails.

That evening, we got to try some of their dishes on the festive menu as well as some of the popular dishes available in their ala carte menu. Some of the signature dishes were really good and I would definitely love to visit the restaurant again to do a proper review of their ala carte dishes.

If I were you, I would definitely go for their filet mignon that comes with foie gras to make my money’s worth. On top of that, the beef tenderloin was nicely executed. It’s very juice and tender. I would pair this with a glass of their house pour – M wine, Cabernet Sauvignon (red wine).

Some Like It Hot

But if you prefer a cocktail, then I will highly recommend you to try their ‘Some Like It Hot’ festive drink. It’s like another version of the traditional mulled wine except that it has butter cooked in it. According to the mixologist who concocted this drink, this warm alcoholic sweet drink is inspired by his Ukraine background. You can taste the hints of caramel, vanilla and cinnamon which spells Christmas. I wouldn’t mind having a few glasses of this.

X’mas Feels

The other festive cocktail is this X’ mas Feels cocktail. It is similar to eggnog except that it contains alcohol in it. It is another interesting cocktail that has Monkey Shoulder’s Malt Whiskey mixed into it.

Other Yuletide Treats

Other than the festive 2-course meal, you can also other festive dishes from their special menu for private events during this December. If you are organising a festival party, you should throw in some classic Christmas dishes like potato gratin, Brussel sprouts and Christmas fruitcake.

This restaurant is perfect for a dinner date with your other half or a birthday celebration meal with your friends. Be prepared for your tastebuds to be aroused by their creative dishes. Come with an empty stomach because their dishes usually come in large sharing portions.
