I have not dyed my hair for a couple of years now as I wanted to live minimally and allow my hair to grow healthily and naturally. But recently, I started to notice white hair sprouting out from my scalp. It’s not just a couple of strands but ten or maybe twenty? Since I can’t reverse ageing in an instant, I thought maybe I could dye my hair and maybe those white strands will look less obvious.
A quick search for the best selling hair dyes takes me to this Korean hair dye brand which is endorsed by Black Pink. The review ratings are high for this particular product which is also one of the cheapest hair dyes available on Shopee.
I haven’t heard of Mise En Scene products before. And I wondered if it was just another Korean beauty product targetted at teenyboppers. Is it just another cheap and average hair dye product?
Let’s find out.
Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Colour
Like any spendthrifts, I would try to get free shipping by purchasing more items from the same seller to just get the shipping fees waived off. I bought another 2 facial masks along with this box of Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Hair dye in Ash Khaki Brown and the seller threw in a free teabag. Albeit small, it’s still a nice gesture.
The box of hair dye was well packed and there weren’t any dents on the box itself. The delivery came within 4 days after I placed my order. That’s pretty quick considering that I actually bought it during Circuit Breaker.
What’s inside the box?
Before opening the box to check out the contents, I actually checked out online reviews of this hair dye on YouTube and they were mostly reviewed by Indonesians YouTubers. It turns out that Ash Khaki Brown is a pretty popular hair colour too.
There’s a solution 2 bottle that came along with two sachets of solutions – Solution 1 and 3. There’s also a detailed instruction sheet that is packed with a plastic disposable cape and a pair of gloves. How thoughtful of them to include the cape! You literally could use this hair dye anytime and anywhere with the items provided in the box.
Solution 2 Bubble Foam Colour Bottle (60g)
Solution 2 is colourless and does not have much of a scent to it. In fact, this product claims that it is ammonia-free. It is thus more gentle and less damaging to your hair.
By the way, this hair dye is enough for those with very long hair. I only used about 3/4 of the mixture for my shoulder length hair.
How to use Mise En Scene Hello Bubble Foam Colour?
Step 1: Add solution 1 and 3 to solution 2 bottle.
Secret magic ampoule in Solution 3 smells amazing. I guess this is what makes the hair soft and more manageable.
Step 2: Cap the bottle with the dispenser pump
Step 3: Swirl the mixture in the bottle 20 times
Make sure you swirl the bottle gentle and not vigorously.
Step 4: Dispense the foam on your palms and apply it directly onto your hair.
Yes, it is that simple! It turns into foam the moment you push the dispenser.
Step 5: Leave the dye on your hair for 20 to 30 minutes
I left mine for about 20 minutes. For a brighter and more prominent colour, I consider leaving the dye for about 30 minutes. During the 20-minutes process, my scalp did feel a little tingly but it doesn’t really bothers me.
Step 6: Rinse your hair with water and apply this 3-minute hair treatment pack.
Leave this hair treatment serum on your hair for at least 3 minutes.
Step 7: Blow dry your hair and there you have it!
It’s so darn easy to use and very fuss-free indeed. The colour also turned out pretty nicely on my hair. It has this slight golden sheen which complements my fair skin tone. Like the other reviewers, I think this Korean bubble hair foam dye is really worth the hype and no wonder it is the bestselling hair dye on Shopee. In fact, this brand of hair dye has been around in Korea for years. It’s an established brand and I would definitely make a repurchase as soon as my white hair sprouts out again.
It’s cheap and good. What more can I say?
