I am always excited to try out new facial treatments at Indulgence Beauty. They have recently launched the LED Light Facial Therapy featuring the use of the LED light therapy machine along with EsthemaxLED Light see-through Hydrojelly mask. This mask enhances the benefits of LED light therapy. During the treatment, they use both red and blue light which alternates during the treatment.
What to expect during the LED Light Therapy Facial Treatment?
The first part of the facial treatment is pretty standard and routine. Like all other facials at Indulgence Beauty, the facial started off with double cleansing, steaming and then extraction. This time, I was attended to by another therapist at Indulgence Beauty. She’s another skilled therapist who is very patient and thorough with each step.
After extraction, they will ask if you want your eyebrows to be shaped. I usually get them to shape with the eyebrow razor. And the therapist did a wonderful job in shaping my brows and cleaning up the edges.
Then comes the crucial part of the facial which is the LED Light mask. She first applied a hydrating ampoule onto my skin before layering the mask. The LED light, together with the mask, will help the ampoule to penetrate into the skin better.
Esthemax LED Light See-Through Hydrojelly
The therapist slather the LED Light see-through Hydrojelly by Esthemax all over my skin. It felt rather nice and cool. After some time, the Hydrojelly mask will set nicely so that you can easily peel it off the skin.
This facial mask is specially formulated with the use of LED light-emitting facial devices. The mask helps to prevent the skin from going dry during the treatment. Because it is translucent, it allows the light waves from the device to pass through and penetrate into the skin deep.
During this masking step, the therapist also performed a head, neck and shoulder massage for me. It’s always the highlight for me whenever it comes to facial treatments. It helps you to relax and soothe away any tension or knots in your shoulders. Sometimes you just need a little massage to ease things up!
After the mask, she placed the LED Light panel device over my face. (It’s a pity that I did not manage to take a photo of the actual device!) The device emits alternating red and blue light which switches after every second. Red light boots cell regeneration and blue light help in reducing inflammation in the skin. They will use the appropriate coloured LED light based on your skin type and condition.
Even though there was a covering over my eyelids, I still find the flashing of lights to be rather intense. I did not like the strong light flashes as the device switches from red to blue and vice versa. It took me a while to get used to it. I just wish that the eye covering could completely block out the LED light.
Thankfully, it was only about 15 minutes or so. Once the device is off my face, the therapist peels off the hydrojelly mask to reveal rejuvenated skin. Before the facial session ends, the therapist applies the remaining ampoule on my skin and finish the treatment off with some sunscreen.
Overall, my skin felt very hydrated and most importantly, it is deeply cleansed. The therapist did a great job in extracting all the gunk out of my pores. The facial lasted exactly two hours.
