Singaporean consumer tech company, PRISM+ did it again with their launch of the new PRISM+ Alpha (AL) TV series and the PRISM+ Soundbars. This latest line-up of home entertainment systems are not only impressive but also reasonably priced as compared to other leading Television brands.
PRISM+ Alpha series
This television series comes in two models – 55AL and 65 AL which are priced at SGD 1,699 and SGD 2,799 respectively. Both 4K OLED Andriod TV models utilise cutting-edge technologies to provide premium home cinematic experiences. The televisions also support best-in-class immersive technologies like Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
I was at their media even today to experience their new products which are just launched today on their website. Their new OLED television not only produces a higher stunning picture quality but is also ultra-slim in design. It’s just a mere 3.8 mm thick. Now, that’s truly insane because it is just as thick as my laptop.
LED vs OLED
OLED TVs are superior because it is composed of millions of self-illuminated pixels which eliminates the need for backlights. The display colours are also more uniform and accurate as compared to regular LED TVs. When paired with Dolby Vision’s ultra-vivid picture quality, the image produced looks insanely vivid and sharp.
Other features of PRISM+ Alpha
The other notable features of the new television series are motion smoothing technology (MEMC), hands-free voice control, Google Assistant and Google Playstore. Both televisions are also equipped with HDR10 and Dolby Vision for enhanced contrast and peak brightness. There is also a 3-year warranty for their Alpha television series.
PRISM+ Soundbars
To complete the home cinematic experience, PRISM+ also launched their own brand of soundbars called PRISM+ Flow and PRISM+ Symphony. PRISM+ Flow is their basic or entry-level soundbar that supports Dolby Audio while PRISM+ Symphony, a more premium soundbar, supports Dolby Atmos. There is a stark difference in the sound quality between the two soundbars. The sound produced by PRISM+ Symphony has incredible clarity and depth and allows you to listen to details that you probably haven’t heard before.
The price difference is also huge. The Flow is retailing at SGD 249 while Symphony is retailing at SGD 699. Nonetheless, both are really affordable considering that a more premium soundbar in the market retails at around SGD 800 plus.
Both soundbars come with wireless subwoofers which can be placed at an optimum position in your home. In addition, the Flow and Symphony both come with five preset modes for News, Music, Sport, Gaming and Movie.
An Affordable Cinematic Immersion Home set-up
As for me, I am eyeing the 55-inch PRISM+ OLED TV and PRISM+ Symphony for my upcoming home. I have to say that the prices look attractive and I was surprised that they are able to offer such competitive prices. In fact, PRISM+ has always been at the forefront of the tech industry and constantly strive to make their products more affordable to the masses so that more people have access to such high-end premium Smart televisions. They are able to do so by skipping the middlemen mark-up and commissions to pass down the cost-savings directly to their customers.
Say cheers to more popcorn nights! With a home entertainment system that powerful, who needs to head to the cinemas just to catch a movie?
