Nestled along the charming Keong Saik Road is Vinflow, a modern and cosy wine bar with a futuristic twist. Here, you can indulge in free-flow self-pour wines, $59 for 2 hours, using an RFID tag that unlocks a curated selection of 32 wines.

This is a unique concept that makes wine tasting feel more interactive and fuss-free. During our visit, we had the chance to savour a series of small bites, starters and a dessert.

The Interior

Vinflow is bathed in neon moody lighting, giving it a cozy yet edgy vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. Scattered across the walls and wine stations are illustrations of cheeky cartoon cats, adding a whimsical touch.

There are also plenty of aesthetic corners perfect for snapping photos with your glass in hand. Its spacious layout allows for ample room to move around, even when making your way to the wine dispensers.

Free-flow Self-pour Wine

Vinflow offers a curated selection of 32 wines sourced from over 10 countries, including wine powerhouses like France, Italy, and Australia, as well as surprising entries from China and Germany. There is a stronger focus on red wines, making it a haven for lovers of bold, full-bodied varietals, though there’s still a good mix of whites and rosés to explore.
How It Works

Once you are comfortably seated, the staff will hand you an RFID wrist tag and guide you through the self-pour wine experience. Each wine dispenser is fitted with digital screens that display the country of origin and tasting notes. When selected, you will see details like alcohol content, flavour profile (think acidity, body and tannins), and even food pairing suggestions – perfect for both seasoned connoisseurs and curious beginners.

Every standard full pour is 80ml, but if you prefer to try more wines, there’s also a 40ml tasting option.

A Few Tips Before You Sip

- To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time, do note that each RFID tag is limited to four 80ml pours at one go. So pace yourself and sip mindfully.
- Handle the wine glasses with care too — breakages come at a $20 charge.
- Don’t forget: your tasting time starts the moment the wrist tag is issued, not when you take your first sip. So plan wisely and make every minute (and pour) count. You will not be able to take any more drinks once the time is up.
What’s on their menu?

They offer Asian‑fusion small bites, starts, mains and desserts. All of these dishes are designed to be paired with wines. So whether you are heading there in the late afternoon to unwind or stay for dinner, there’s something for you to enjoy as you sip wines.
Like their wines, they do switch up their menu from time to time. Below are all the dishes we’ve tried.
Small Bites
Cauliflower ($15)

The grilled Cauliflower with soy garlic glaze and puff quinoa was an unexpected standout — beautifully charred with a smoky mentaiko-like flavour that gave it an umami-rich depth. The texture was spot on: soft yet retaining that delightful crunch. It is a dish that keeps you going back for more — simple, addictive, and surprisingly satisfying.
Prawn Paste Chicken ($20)

The Prawn Paste Chicken was a nostalgic delight — crispy on the outside with meat that was soft and tender. It tasted just like the traditional har cheong gai, with the prawn paste marinade deeply infused into every bite. Paired with a tangy calamansi squeeze and a rich sambal aioli, it was a familiar classic elevated with a modern twist.
Starters
Duck Rillette ($18)

The Duck Rillette had a smooth, pâté-like texture that reminded me of a flavourful tuna paste, rich with a subtle earthiness. It paired well with the tangy cornichons and silver onions, which helped cut through the thickness. The toasted baguette, though delightfully crisp when first served, did turn a little tough as it cooled — so be sure to enjoy it while it is still warm.
Slow Cooked King Salmon ($26)

The Slow Cooked King Salmon was a delight — soft, tender, and just slightly cooked through, allowing its natural richness to shine. It was paired with a light and aromatic assam curry foam that added a novel twist to the dish without overpowering it. The curry had a soupy consistency and was more fragrant than spicy, making it a gentle yet flavorful complement. Topped with marinated ikura and a refreshing fennel citrus slaw, this dish struck a lovely balance between bold and delicate.

Dessert
Sesame Cannelloni ($16)

The Sesame Cannelloni was a unique and unexpected creation — filled with a light, fluffy and creamy sesame filling that was not overly sweet. The cannelloni shell itself was crispy, though a little too hard. This dish was a playful twist on the traditional Cannelloni.
Verdict

If you’re a wine lover or simply curious about trying something new, Vinflow is definitely worth checking out. The creative bites complemented the drinking experience, but the true star here is the self-pour wine concept. To make the most of your hour, it’s best to either finish your wine before ordering food, grab a bite first, or head elsewhere for a meal after sipping. The cozy, neon-lit space makes it fun for dates or casual meet-ups, and the attentive service ensures everything flows smoothly. It’s a fun and unique experience that invites both conversation and discovery, one pour at a time.
