The Tea Room & Patisserie at St. Regis Singapore
The Tea Room exudes understated elegance with its intimate setting that seats no more than 30 guests, making it ideal for quiet catch-up over tea (or coffee). Plush seating in ivory, sky blue and blush pink pair with champagne gold accents on the tables, walls, and décor. A sky-blue carpet, surrounded by walls of contemporary art lend a refined touch.
Most tables accommodate two to four people, with a choice between cozy sofa seats or plush armchairs that envelop you in comfort. The softly lit space, paired with its tasteful decor and serene atmosphere, evokes a sense of timeless class – almost like stepping into a modern-day palace for royalty.
Summer Garden Afternoon Tea
This season, the Tea Room is presenting its Summer Garden Afternoon Tea – a showcase of botanical-inspired treats served with finesse. Priced at $65++ per person, the experience begins with a refreshing glass of Copenhagen Sparkling Tea, or you can elevate it further with a glass of R de Ruinart Brut Champagne at $95++ per person. For this amount of offerings served at this pricing, I would say it is a pretty good deal.
Each afternoon tea set includes a welcome drink, your choice of a fragrant pot of tea or coffee, followed by a beautifully arranged selection of savoury bites, delicate sweets, and warm scones that keep coming from the ever-charming scone trolley.
On weekends, there’s a harpist who would play melodic tunes at the Tea Room.
Welcome Drink
The welcome drink is the Copenhagen Sparkling Tea – a bubbly and slightly sweet refreshment that sets a light and elegant tone for the afternoon. Delicate and refreshing, it makes a lovely start to the experience.
Tea or Coffee
Once comfortably seated, the tea experience begins with a charming tableside service led by a tea sommelier, who wheels over a tea trolley filled with curated blends. You are invited to take in the aroma of each tea blend before making your choice, with the sommelier thoughtfully guiding you through its ingredients.
All teas are sustainably sourced from Taylors of Harrogate, while coffee lovers can opt for a brew made with beans also sustainably sourced from Tanamera Coffee and Roastery. For something truly special, try the St. Regis Singapore Blend – a hotel-exclusive tea that is as luxurious as the setting itself.
We tried the exclusive St. Regis Singapore Blend, a unique mix of green and black tea with rich, malty notes of white chocolate and nuts, delicately balanced by the floral scent of white rose and jasmine blossoms. It was wonderfully fragrant from the first sip to the last, and even after several hot water refills, the tea remained just as aromatic and flavourful.
The Savoury & Sweet Menu
The afternoon tea set includes five savoury bites, four dainty sweets, unlimited scones from the scone trolley, along with a praline and a delicate macaron to end on a sweet note.

Unlimited Scones Trolley
One of the highlights of the afternoon tea experience is the unlimited scone trolley, which rolls up to your table with two types of freshly baked scones: the classic St. Regis Scone and a zesty Lemon Scone. Guests can enjoy unlimited servings of freshly baked scones. There are also four types of artisanal jams and clotted cream to go with the scones.
You can pair this season’s Lemon Scone with lemon-infused “caviar” pearls for a refreshing citrusy burst. Scones are served with a generous side of clotted cream and an assortment of jams, including strawberry, mango, orange, and blueberry – perfect for mixing and matching your favourite flavours.
Verdict
Flavours across both the savouries and sweets tend to be rich and layered, making the aromatic tea a refreshing palate cleanser between bites. A standout was the Tropical Garden Tartlet – a citrusy burst of fruity flavours that lingered delightfully. Additionally, the clotted cream and fruit jams added just the right lift to the classic scones.
The St. Regis Afternoon Tea at The Tea Room is well worth a visit if you are looking for a classy, refined retreat to indulge in slow, elegant moments. With its plush seating, contemporary art decor, and intimate setting, it is perfect for quiet catch-ups or celebrating special occasions. The attentive service – especially the thoughtful tea refills – adds a warm touch to an already luxurious experience.
