This September, Singapore citizens aged 18 and above will receive $100 worth of SG Culture Pass credits to enjoy the nation’s arts and cultural scene. The activities to spend on your credits on are plentiful and there will be additional programmes in future which will accept SG Culture Pass credits. One of the organisations that accepts SG Culture Pass credits is National Gallery Singapore. It is just a 5 minutes walk from City Hall MRT station.

In addition to its renowned Southeast Asian art collections, the National Gallery also offers programmes that let visitors explore hidden passageways, solve mysteries, create art, and discover familiar spaces in entirely new ways.
Below are 6 experiences to spend your SG Culture Pass credits from this September 2025 onwards. Some of the events below are great for families with kids.
1. Back-of-House Guided Tour: “Former Supreme Court: Unseen, Unheard”

Discover spaces normally hidden from public view in this exclusive Back-of-House guided tour. Walk through prisoner passageways, climb through a trapdoor into the dock, and stand in awe of the historic Viewing Gallery. Along the way, you’ll hear about the history of landmark trials and even see the Chief Justice’s private courtroom seat!
You will get to visit special spaces within the gallery which are out-of-bounds to normal visitors. If you are into history and heritage, this tour might just be for you. The tour is conducted in two languages – English and Chinese. This tour is more suited for adults, educators and students.

2. FRAMED: Murder Mystery at National Gallery Singapore

Unfairly accused of a crime, clear your name in this self-guided escape game called FRAMED by HIDDEN Singapore. With WhatsApp as your guide, uncover puzzles and secrets hidden within artworks as the Gallery becomes the stage for a thrilling investigation into identity, truth, and perception.
This is a self-guided interactive game where you can navigate at your own pace. You can play as a team to solve clues as well. Players will embark on a journey through the City Hall and Supreme Court buildings, uncovering a total of 12 clues.
Recommended for ages 15+ and above. Best enjoyed in groups of 4–5

3. Art Alive! – A Wild Tale

Through drama and storytelling, Art Alive! – A Wild Tale turns artworks into playful adventures. It’s interactive, lighthearted, and a refreshing way to discover art beyond the canvas. At just $5, it’s also the most accessible way to bring a touch of imagination into your visit. This interactive holiday programme is a great activity to keep kids occupied.
Ticket pricing: $5/pax (All children must be accompanied by at least one adult, who will also require their own ticket.)

4. GalleryToddlers!

For parents with young children, GalleryToddlers! offers sensory play and creative activities designed for ages 2–3. It’s an engaging and gentle introduction to art, sparking curiosity and creativity from the very beginning.
Suitable for children aged 18 months–3 years old.
Ticket pricing: $15 per pair of one parent and child
Event Date: first Saturday of each month
Timing: 10.30–11.10am & 11.45am–12.25pm
Opening hours: 10:30AM – 11:10AM and 11:30AM – 12:10PM

5. Let’s Create (March 2026 Holiday Programme)

If you prefer making art yourself, this workshop introduces the basics of composition. Learn how to build foreground, middle ground, and background using colours and layers, then create your own piece with the materials provided. A hands-on way to experience art beyond looking.

6. How to Art with Friends Activity Guide

An affordable, playful way to turn a gallery visit into an adventure, pick up this guidebook with your friends at the Visitor Services Counter and follow its ten fun challenges through the exhibitions. This activity guide features activities designed to spark conversation and new perspectives, take this chance to not just know your loved one’s perspective on art– but about them as a whole too.
This is suitable for adults, families, wisitors with accessibility needs and students.

Use SG Culture Pass Credits before it expires
With prices ranging from $2 to under $30, your $100 SG Culture Passes can stretch surprisingly far. You might be able to attend or participate in a few events.
One possible itinerary could be:
- Beginning with the Back-of-House Guided Tour ($25) to explore the Supreme Court’s hidden spaces.
- Trying the FRAMED: Murder Mystery game ($29.90) for an afternoon of immersive fun.
- On another weekend, pick up the How to Art with Friends guide ($8) for a relaxed gallery adventure.
