Coach will be unveiling The Coach Restaurant Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport this coming Friday, 31 October 2025. This marks Coach’s latest milestone in evolving from a heritage global fashion house brand to an immersive lifestyle brand.
This new New York-style Steakhouse restaurant, located near Changi Terminal 1 Arrival Hall, features a woodfire grill dishes and other classic New York-inspired dishes like pizza, fried chicken and burgers. I had a sneak peak of the restaurant before it opens and here’s my review of The Coach Restaurant.
Everything is in the details

The Coach Restaurant Singapore is designed with the spirit of Coach’s hometown in mind. You can tell that alot of thought have been put into the restaurant interior, decor, plateware and right up to the staff’s uniform. Yes, even their staff are clad with aprons made with glovetanned Coach leather and some were suited up with a Coach necktie. All these final touches are inspired by Coach’s collection. Very Classy.
The Restaurant Interior

This 56-seat dining restaurant overlooks Jewel’s iconic Rain Vortex. There’s also a 10-seat bar and a 10-seat chef’s counter where diners can watch the culinary chefs in action. The high ceiling with the warm glowy lightings makes the restaurant looked really spacious, elegant and super chic.

As you walked right into the restaurant, remember to tilt your head right up to have a full view of the full-size iconic yellow taxi cab suspended overhead. It makes a beautiful centrepiece of the restaurant that blends in seamlessly with all the other New York City elements.

The Menu

The kitchen is helmed Head Chef Kurt Sombero (who was formerly the head chef of Meatsmith Little India ). You will noticed a woodfire grill emblazoned with Coach branding at the open kitchen area. This is where all the magic happens.

The menu highlights include caviar-topped Black and White Bagel, Crab Cakes spiced with classic Old Bay seasoning, USDA Prime cuts and prized Japanese Satsuma Wagyu A5, each served with roasted garlic and a slab of Coach-logo shaped butter.

Other mains include the Dover Sole with citrus caper brown butter, Lemon Thyme Roasted Chicken, and Maine Lobster which are seared over open flames and finished with black pepper hollandaise.
Desserts include the 20-Layer Chocolate Cake, PB&J Baked Alaska and classic New York Cheesecake.

There’s also a 100-bottle all-American wine list with an inventive cocktail program to complete the whole New York-style dining experience. The wine list is curated by Head Sommelier Jane Yoon.
What We’ve Tried
We tried several dishes in one seating and some of the dishes presented to us were served in tasting portions.
The Black and White Bagel ($18)

If you are here to splurge, then splurge it on this toasted NY bagel served wth caviar and cream cheese. It’s a cute mini bagel. A little something to pop in your mouth to kick start your appetite.
Classic Steak Tartare ($28)

This dish featues hand chopped USDA beef tenderloin, relish, fresh egg yolk and toasted white bread. I love how they incorporate Coach elements into this dish and the plating is very much on point – same goes for this beef tartare. This makes a great appetiser. It is goos for sharing between 2 to 3 pax.
Maryland Crab Cake ($30)

This slab of crab cake, under the Bar Bites menu, is made of Old Bay spiced blue swimmer crab, housemade tartar sauce and fresh lemon. It’s executed and presented just like any crab cakes but one thing that stood out to me was the freshness of the plump crab meat flakes.
The NY Slice

A slice of pizza is a must-have iconic food to have in The Big Apple. Over here at The Coach Restaurant, their pizza is presented in an old-fashioned way – thin pizza base topped with tomato and mozarella. It’s nothing too fancy or over the top but simply a staple dish to fill your guests and get the conversation at the table going.
The Chicken Bucket ($28 for 5 pieces)

The Chicken Bucket was a showstopper. It does just come in a metal bucket but a bucket covered with glovetanned leather which made the fried chicken drumsticks looked even more exquisite. The juxtaposition of fried chicken with the Coach leather tag is an art on its own.

Each bucket comprises of 5 juicy fried chicken drumsticks served with housemade honey, hot sauce and ranch. The chicken were fried to perfection. The meat was tender and it was too greasy at all. Make sure to order a bucket of these at the table and have fun with drizzling the sauces over the chicken.

The NY Burger

Things just got even better with the NY Burger. Sandwich between the soft brioche buns are a thick juicy slab of wagyu beef patty topped with a slice of cheddar cheese, pickles and a secret sauce. It’s just a really good cheeseburger that would leave you wanting more. I am glad that they nailed it with this iconic New York-style dish.
USDA Prime Ribeye (from $40)

From the grill, we had their Linz Heritage Angus Beef steak served with garlic confit, salt and some sauce. The beef was served medium rare and it’s pretty well-executed considering that the beef is tender and easy to bite into.
Each steak comes with roasted garlic and Béarnaise sauce.

It was cooked rather evenly over the woodfire grill. It has some amount of fat which gives it a nice chewy texture.

Maine Lobster ($95)

This lobster was actually my favourite dish that evening. The lobster meat not only tasted fresh, sweet and succulent but the black pepper hollandaise doubles up the natural umaminess in the lobster. We had half of a lobster each that evening for tasting purposes. Usually, diners will get to enjoy one full lobster.
I am thankful that that batch of lobsters we had that day is one of the best.

NY Style Cheesecake ($16)

For desserts, we had a slice of towering NY cheesecake with seasonal fruit compote. I wish the cake layer could be more moist with a stronger cheese taste. It tasted more like custard when I tried it that day.
PB&J Bombe Alaska ($18)

The P&&J Bombe Alaska, on the other hand, was quite a crowd-pleaser at our table. It is simply peanut butter parfait with jelly and covered with meringue. It is doused with rum and being torched till the meringue caramelises slightly.
The rum taste was distinct and it hits you right away the moment you bite into it. The peanut butter taste was quite mild so it doesn’t overwhelmed the tastebuds. The jelly adds a refreshing cold texture to the whole dessert.

The Coach Store

After a good meal, you can head over to the newly revamped Coach store right next door. You can enter the store via the connecting doors.
My Verdict

It’s one of the restaurants which are set to impressed your guests or date. Food was up to expectations and I do foresee myself coming back again to try out other dishes. And the restaurant interior and vibes does take me straight to New York City without having to fly over.
Don’t skip the NY Burger, Chicken Bucket and Maine lobster.
