To celebrate this launch, SkinMTX spotlights three products aimed at specific skin concerns: hyperpigmentation, dull skin, and uneven tone. These products are part of their Expert collection which is formulated with advanced, prescription-strength ingredients.
I personally tried these three products which happen to be suitable for my current skin type and condition. I do have some pigmentations on my skin and one of the best ways to deal with it is to exfoliate the skin and to promote skin rejuvenation.
MelaClear Brightening Serum($119)
This serum helps reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots. It targets stubborn dark spots for a superior brightening action and promotes skin regeneration for ultra-smooth texture. The serum contains ingredients which include Tranexamic Acid, 5% Niacinamide and α-Arbutin which work together to reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots.
You can apply every morning and evening over cleansed and toned skin. I find that the formula is very watery, lightweight and absorbs easily into the skin.
MelaClear Brightening Cream ($89)
This brightening cream is suited for those with uneven skin tone, dark spots and pigmentation. The formulation comprises of 3% Tranexamic Acid, 2% Niacinamide and α-Arbutin which helps in fading sun spots, age spots and other areas of pigmentation. The cream also brightens and nourishes the skin for a healthy glow.
It is suitable for use in the morning and evening, over cleansed skin. I was quite intrigued with its packaging which allows for easy dispensation of the product. You will just need to press it cover down to dispense suitable amount of cream. The cream also has a lightweight texture which melts easily into the skin.
Night Resurfacing Booster+ ($68)
The booster plus is designed to deal with dull, rough and uneven textured skin. It contains multiple acids such as 8% AHA, 2 % BHA and Peptide-P5™ to gently exfoliate, improve texture, fade discoloration, and help skin look smoother and brighter by morning. This is a power-packed exfoliant may leave your skin feeling a slight tingling sensation. I did felt a tingling sensation on my skin but it was very mild and after subsequent use of it, I barely felt anything.
You can apply a few drops every night after cleansing, before applying serum. Do avoid the lip and eye area. You can use the booster on alternative nights. Best to do a patch test before using it.
The booster has a more viscous texture as compared to the serum.
My Verdict
I have been using it for a week now and though it is too early to tell if the products have changed my skin tone and texture, I must say that this skincare range is suited for those with slightly matured skin. As for the results, you would probably have to use for a month or so to see visible results.
Out of the three products, I prefer the Night Resurfacing Booster+ as I felt the exfoliating effects on my skin and I believe the active ingredients in it really help to gently exfoliate the skin.
