The Ray-Ban Meta 2 might be the pair of wearable tech glasses that make you look stylish at the same time. Combining iconic Ray-Ban aesthetics with built-in cameras, open-ear speakers, and Meta AI, these smart glasses offers a futuristic hands-free experience without looking overly “techy.”
But are they actually worth the purchase? We had the opportunity to test out the glasses and here’s everything you need to know about the Ray-Ban Meta 2 smart glasses.

Model: 0RW4013F Headliner LNB Shiny Black (Transitions Sapphire)
These smart glasses are currently available in popular Ray-Ban silhouettes like Wayfarer, Headliner, and Skyler. The glasses also support prescription lenses and transition lenses for daily wear. We tested out their Headliner LNB Shiny Black which comes with transition lens.
Main features
The Ray-Ban Meta 2 are AI-powered smart glasses designed for hands-free content creation and communication.
Its features include:
- A built-in camera for photos and videos
- Open-ear speakers for music and calls
- Multiple microphones for voice control
- Meta AI assistant integration
- Touch controls on the frame
Standout feature of the Ray-Ban Meta 2: 12MP ultra-wide camera
The highlight of the Ray-Ban Meta 2 is the upgraded 12MP ultra-wide camera feature. You can capture hands-free photos and record 3K video. The video quality turns out to be pretty good and the footage remains clear after posting it on Instagram and other social media platforms.
You simply press a button or use voice commands ‘Meta, record a video’ to record a POV video. The process is seamless and hands-free. The camera quality is noticeably improved compared to earlier models, especially for video stabilization and casual content creation. The POV angle creates a more immersive viewing experience that phones simply cannot replicate.
We filmed this hands-free video using the Ray-Ban Meta 2 glasses and you can have a look of the footage here.
Decent Audio Quality
The open-ear speakers are one of the most underrated features. You can listen to music, podcasts, answer calls, or hear navigation directions without wearing earbuds. Those standing further way from you can’t really listen to the audio unless they are standing super close to your face. Audio quality is surprisingly clear for casual listening, and call performance performs well in everyday settings.
Meta AI
The Ray-Ban Meta 2 includes built-in voice assistance powered by Meta AI. You can ask questions, translate languages, identify landmarks, or get contextual information about objects around you. In theory, it feels futuristic—almost like having an assistant in your ear. However, Meta AI is not as advanced yet and still work-in-progress. It might not provide you with the most accurate contextual answers as of yet.
Battery Life
The glasses comes with a charging case which helps extend usability throughout the day. Based on our experience, we find ourselves having to charge the device after 6 to 7 hours. I would say that the battery life is also decent. The battery life will also depend on how frequently you record videos or use AI features.
Final Verdict: Are the Ray-Ban Meta 2 Worth It?
The Ray-Ban Meta 2 smart glasses are one of the most practical and stylish wearable devices currently available. They successfully combine fashion with useful technology, especially for capturing hands-free content and staying connected without constantly checking your phone. While the hardware itself is impressive, Meta AI still feels like it is evolving.
Also it is important to note that thenglasses are slightly heavier than traditional Ray-Bans due to the built-in tech. It does get a little uncomfortable after wearing it for long hours. Also, the device gets heated up when the environment gets really warm. Hence, it might not be such a good idea to wear it for too long.
If you’re a creator or frequent traveler, Ray-Ban Meta 2 might be worth investing it as it is able to capture quality POV-style videos.
