Fresver Facial Boutique: A Facial Review

I swear by facials. How frequent you should go for facials depends on your skin condition. If you’ve got great skin and know how to maintain it, you will just need to do basic cleansing facial every one to three months for maintenance. As for my skin condition, I still had to go for monthly facials until my skin condition stabilizes. Every now and then, I do have pimples popping up so I have to go for regular facials and I’m currently looking for a fixed facial salon to go to. In the mean time, I am scouting for a suitable place to go to.

Last week, I tried on a customized facial treatment at Fresver Facial boutique at Tiong Bahru Plaza. It’s their latest and newest flagship outlet which also features this beauty booth where you can try and test out the skincare products which they are using. They are currently using products by Summe cosmetics which hailed from Spain.

I was curious and asked them why they named the facial boutique as Fresver. Well, it is actually a  portmanteau or a blend of the two words, ‘Fresh’ and ‘forever’. Yes, they want your skin to look fresh forever!

During the consultation session, the therapist did a skin analysis for me using their skin analysing tool. Not many facial salons perform such thorough skin analysis so I really appreciate that they take the time to do a thorough scanning of the skin and to show us clients on how our skin looks like when magnified.

After examining my skin, the therapist recommended that I should do a customized facial using two different types of machine to exfoliate the skin, cleanse the clogged pores and hydrate the skin. It is the Diamond Peel + Chromotherapy Infusion facial.

Before the facial begins, the therapist did a relaxing aromatherapy ritual where I inhaled the lavender essential oil as she cupped her oiled hands over my nose. After the deep relaxation, she starts off the facial with a double cleanse.The first machine (diamond peel) gently exfoliates and cleanses the pores, leaving my skin feeling smoother. This is then followed by an extraction to unclog the pores. The second machine (Chromotherapy Infusion) was used together with a hydrating serum which would help relieve my oily skin condition. The facial massage was my favourite step which comes right before the mask. Lastly, she applied a generous layer of the mask which really helps to soothe and relieve the redness in my skin.

Overall, it was a good facial experience. Their location is rather convenient as well because it is located within Tiong Bahru Plaza which is linked to Tiong Bahru MRT station.
