Food that has mom’s touch of love and dedication always tastes better somehow. But is it the same for this popular Korean fast-food chicken and burger joint? Read on to find out more.
I am not a fast-food junkie but when it comes to Korean Chicken, I just could not resist. Judging from the endless queue at this Korean chicken and burger joint, you can say that we are a nation who is really into food – especially Korean food. The K-pop wave has also brought along the K-food craze here in Singapore.
But the real question here is whether this is worth the hype. For Mom’s touch to be opening at the new retail mall, Paya Lebar Quarter, I would give a resounding yes. I have not tried everything on the menu yet and could not provide a comprehensive review of their food. However, at least for now, I have to say that their spicy sauce chicken is finger-licking good.
Mom’s Touch Chicken and Burgers
Mom’s touch started in Korea since 2004 and currently, they have over 1,200 outlets across South Korea. They are well-known for their hand-battered and breaded chicken which is marinated with their own special blend of seasoning.
All thanks to No Signboard Holdings, Mom’s touch has been brought over to Singapore and Malaysia. They launched the first Mom’s touch outlet at Paya Lebar Quarter and during its opening, they already had an overwhelming response from the masses. Do their food really taste that good? Read on to find out our recommendations.
What’s on Mom’s Touch menu?
They offer mainly burgers, chicken, some sides, desserts as well as beverages. That day, we got to try Mom’s Touch Spicy Thigh burger as well as Mom’s Spicy sauce chicken. Now, let’s see how they fare.
Mom’s Spicy Thigh Burger
It sure sounds weird when you read it off as Mom’s Thigh Spicy burger. I hope you are not put off by it. In fact, it’s just a chicken burger. Phew.
The spicy level was tolerable and taste-wise, it was pretty average tasting. We were both a tad disappointed when we saw how flat the burger looks. It looks nothing like their advertised images.
On print, it looks like this.
But in reality…
Overall, we were not too impressed with the burger. However, it was a different story altogether for their spicy sauce chicken and fries.

I love that they drenched the fried chicken wings in spicy hot sauce. Who needs those packets of chilli sauce anyway?
The sauce tasted a little like Thai sweet chilli sauce but much better. It goes so well with the spicy chicken wings!
Anyhow, the spicy sauce chicken we have looks way better than the ones on their advertising images. It tasted as good as the spicy chicken I have at established Korean chicken restaurants. For that, I would give them a huge thumbs-up for their tantalizing-looking chicken!
Cajun Fries
I enjoy eating such raw-cut fries with bits of the potato skin attached to it. It is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Since we had a pool of their spicy sauce stored up in their box, we decided to dip our fries in it.
As for the drinks…
We tried their frizzy fruity soda drinks which is quite a fun and refreshing drink to have, especially the one with the colourful bobas.
All I can say is, do come here for the Korean fried chicken y’all. The Koreans know best when it comes to fried chicken.
With mama’s touch of love and dedication to her food, it sure tastes good.
