I wasn’t using a proper moisturiser previously after using Mamonde products so my skin became so dry that my therapists urge me to get a hydrating moisturiser. Because when your skin is not well-hydrated, clogged pores and breakouts can occur. As such, I decided search high and low for a moisturiser which is suitable for my combination skin.
Where to find good skincare product deals?
As most of you would know, skincare products can be really costly. So I decided to head over to Shopee to look for some great deals. That’s when I chanced upon Nature Republic’s products. I bought their cleanser as well as a water-based moisturiser cream. And after trying it for about a week, I was sold. I am now a Nature Republic convert. Their products are not only very reasonable but also great for Asian skin types. No wonder Korean skincare products are still selling like hotcakes in the market.
Without further ado, let me tell you why these two Nature Republic products are must-buys if you have combination skin which clogs up very easily.
Nature Republic Fresh Herb Aloe Vera Cleansing Foam (170ml)
This is a mild cleansing foam which has a milky texture. It felt more like a milk cleanser than a foam. If you are worried that foam-based cleansers might be too drying for the skin, I can confidently tell you that this particular cleanser doesn’t leave the skin feeling taut.
And you will only need a very small amount of the product to cleanse the whole face because it foams up quite easily. It can also remove makeup quite easily but it is also better to cleanse your skin with a proper makeup cleanser before using this product.
It is overall very gentle on the skin. My skin still feels moist and refreshed after using it.
For a cleanser that only costs $5.23, it is really a steal. I reckon that this could last me for 3 months or longer.
There are 3 other variants of cleansing foam in this Fresh Herb series. I’ve yet to try all but I like this Aloe Vera cleansing foam because it smells very refreshing.
Rating: 5/5 (backed by Shopee and Google reviews)
Nature Republic Super Aqua Max (Combination Watery Cream) (80ml)
This product deserves a shout of praise. I love the consistency and texture of this water-based cream which is neither too thick nor too thin. It’s perfect for people in their late twenties or early thirties where you need a good moisturiser which is not too heavy or too light.
The star ingredient in this moisturiser is Kona Deep Sea Water. It is purportedly sourced at 3,000 Feet Below the Ocean Surface. This ingredients is highly nourishing for the skin as it contains Sea Plant Nutrients, Ocean Extracts, Trace Minerals, Calcium and Magnesium.
The formula also contains hyaluronic acid which helps to keep the skin moisturise for long hours.
The product gets easily absorbed into the skin and does not leave any tacky feeling on the skin. It has a super refreshing scent that instantly lifts your mood.
Another thing worth mentioning is how budget-friendly Nature Republic products are. This jar of watery cream only costs $10.90.
Time to discover other Nature Republic skincare products!
After trying out these two products, it made me want to try the other similar products in the same product line. They are also well-known for their Aloe Vera moisture soothing gel which until today is still one of the most popular Aloe Vera gel products. Like The Face Shop and Innisfree, this Korean skincare brand is consistent with their quality of products and I could not wait to try more.
