Love, Afare, a lifestyle brand of JUMBO Group of restaurants, has just launched their latest series of snacks which are inspired by JUMBO’s signature flavours. With Chinese New Year around the corner, it’s the perfect excuse to try out these delectable snacks and add them to your collection of CNY goodie stash.
There are a total of 5 new snacks to choose from. There’s the Chilli Crab sticks, Black Pepper Crab sticks, Cereal Prawn Chins, Salted Egg Prawn CHins and Baby Squid with Crispy Fried Fritters. I tried three of their new snacks and my favourite one has got to be their Cereal Prawn Chins.
Cereal Prawn Chins (SGD 9.90 per pack)
This snack itself truly tastes like the actual cereal prawn dish served at JUMBO. I could literally enjoy this with a warm bowl of rice. Because it’s so flavourful, I reckon that it could be served as a topping for your bowl of noodles or fried rice. The medley of textures and flavours from the crunchy cereal flakes, crispy prawn chins and curry leaves are simply amazing. It’s like a party in my mouth.
Baby Squid with Crispy Fried Fritters (SGD 9.90)
The other delectable snack from Love, Afare is their Baby Squid with Crispy Fried Fritters. It’s sweet and savoury at the same time. Covered in roasted sesame seeds, this mouth-watering snack truly packed quite a punch.
Black Pepper Crab Sticks (SGD 7.30)
These crab sticks actually reminded me of Double Decker’s Chicken crackers. I love the peppery kick and buttery undertones but I just wish that the black pepper flavour is stronger. But if you are one of those who prefer a milder black pepper flavour, this snack could just be the one for you to indulge in.
