3 Reasons why I decided to switch back to the basic Circles.Life mobile plan

Circles.Life mobile plan

Getting a mobile data sim card-only plan is as easy as ABCs these days. It’s so much more convenient to also port over your number from one telco to the next with just a touch of a button. I started out with Circles.Life when they have this sim card-only plan option back then. Then I hop over to Giga and to VIVIFI because the mobile plans are more value for money. My journey with Giga has been a breeze and I enjoyed the data rollover service it provides.

With VIVIFI, it was reasonably alright. For $11, I get to enjoy 20GB worth of data per month. However, the network and connection haven’t always been very stable with VIVIFI. Besides, I needed more data these days all thanks to TikTok. And I knew it was time to make a switch. In the end, I went with Circle.Life most basic data plan.

Making the switch to Circles.Life

Currently, they are offering this promotional plan where you get to enjoy unlimited data for the first 3 months and thereafter 50GB per month. The plan comes with 100 minutes of talk time and 25 SMS. It includes a free Caller number display too. The registration fee is $38 which can be easily waived if you use their promo code ‘DEEGLITZ‘ or in this case, they actually waive off the registration fee for their 50GB plan. Now that the world is embarking on 5G network, data plans running on 4G networks are now much cheaper than before. I also noticed that some telcos are offering free unlimited data but at lower speeds.

1. Smooth Process of porting over

circles.life

These days, the transfer of one postpaid number to the next telco is seamless. For Circles.Life, you can opt for the physical or eSIM card which makes life so much more convenient. The port over of the existing number will take place the next day, in the late evening, close to midnight. Once the port over is done, you can insert the new SIM card. During the port over, you will be given a temporary number to use with the new SIM card. You don’t have to do anything else on your end.

Once the port over is successful, you will receive a SMS and email notification and that’s about it. You can also find out how data or talk time you have left via their app. More importantly, their network has been really stable and I have not connection issue thusfar.

2. They are absorbing the GST increase.

Unlike other telcos, they decide to absorb the 1% increase in their GST so their rates for all of their plans remain unchanged, until 31 March 2023. Their mobile data plans are already quite value for money and with this 1% GST being absorbed, it might save you a few bucks.

3. Attractive Roaming Data rates

They have also recently launched a travel plan called JetPac which everyone can utilize it even if they are not a member of Circles.Life. It’s a travel eSIM card where you get to enjoy 25GB for just $25 and the best part is that the leftover data (up to 10GB) can be rolled over. It even gives you access to airport lounges for up to 6 travelers if your flight is delayed for more than 1 hour. If you do not require that much data for your overseas trip, you can opt for the Lite Pac plan which costs $10 per month that comes with 3GB.

Mobile data plans in Singapore have increasingly become more competitive in pricing. I believe that it will become cheaper and cheaper in future.

If you would like to sign up for Circles.Life, you can use this promo code ‘DEEGLITZ‘ to get a bonus of 30GB per month FOREVER and a $38 registration fee waived.
