If you have not tried luckin coffee drinks yet, this is the best time because they have just launched a series of Christmas-exclusive drinks this season. This includes their blockbuster Big Cheese Latte which sold over 6.5 million cups in its first week of launch in the Chinese market, as well as their newly launched Merry Cocoa Christmas, Toffee Hazelnut Latte, and Creme Brulee Latte.
Currently, this largest coffee brand in China has over 20 stores in Singapore to date. For all you know, there is a luckin coffee outlet just a stone throw away from your workplace or home. There are more outlets are opening in December.
I made a trip down to their outlet at One Raffles Place to try out these 4 Christmas-exclusive drinks and here are my thoughts.
Big Cheese Latte
Is this worth the hype? This drink is a fusion of classic New Zealand cream cheese and latte. The cheese milk flavour is prominent in the drink and it has that slight savoury cheesy taste which made this drink rather unique. It has an aromatic coffee aftertaste which comes right after the burst of cheese flavours. If you are a milk and cheese lover, you may enjoy this drink.
Merry Cocoa Christmas
This is a chocolate-infused milk drink that has a creamy cocoa flavour. It is like a classic iced chocolate drink topped with whipped cream. The drink itself is not too rich and easy to drink.
Creme Brulee Latte
This drink was inspired by the classic French dessert, Crème brûlée. You can taste the sweet caramelised pudding flavour with the strong coffee aroma. This is quite a lovely festive drink to have if you love your latte with caramel notes.
Toffee Hazelnut Latte
This latte drink is infused with a classic toffee hazelnut flavour which gives it that nice nutty aromatic flavour. It is topped with a layer of whipped cream. For me, this is probably my favourite drink out of the 4 Christmas-exclusive drinks at luckin coffee.
