    The Mongol Khan

    This epic Mongolian theatrical production, inspired by the evolution of the Mongolian culture, will make its Asia Premiere in Singapore at Sands Theatre from 17 October 2024.     It tells a gripping story of a brutal succession that threatens the essence of an empire. The Mongol Khan was originally written in 1998 by renowned Mongolian writer and poet, Lkhagvasuren Bavuu and revived in April 2022 at the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Drama.

    The team behind this Mongolian Play

    Behind this production is a strong team of world-renowned artists and creatives like Tony-nominated playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker, Tony Award-winning Nick Barnes and the prolific historian and travel writer John Man who is an expert in Mongolian history and culture. This large-scale production is performed by an ensemble of over 70 actors, dancers and musicians.

    Performance venue: Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands

    Show timings: Tues to Fri (8.00pm), Sat (2pm, 8pm) and Sun (1pm, 6.30pm)

    Performance Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes including intermission
