Award-winning WICKED Musical is back in Singapore at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands

WICKED remains one of the most successful and popular musicals in the world. More than 67 million people worldwide have seen this spectacular musical. It has become the 4th longest running show in Broadway’s history.

The musical has played in 16 countries around the world including Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, The Philippines, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. This spectacular show has been translated into six languages

It is a winner of over 100 major awards including the Grammy Award, the Olivier Award, six Helpmann Awards, three Tony Awards® and six Drama Desk Awards. And it is definitely a musical not to be missed!

WICKED is produced in Singapore by John Frost for Crossroads Live Australia, Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt, and David Stone. It is presented in Singapore by Base Entertainment Asia.

This story is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire. WICKED tells the story of what happened long before Dorothy came into the picture. It looks at what happen in the land of Oz but from a different perspective.

It is an untold story of about two young women meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald-green skin is intelligent, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. The other is lively, blonde, ambitious and exceptionally popular. They become rivals initially, then friends.

WICKED-themed activities at Marina Bay Sands

To celebrate this WICKED season in Singapore, there are also a line-up of activations to bring the magic of the Land of Oz to Marina Bay Sands.

WICKED Special Light up

The iconic facade of Marina Bay Sands will be lighted up in beautiful shades of green and pink in celebration of WICKED’s arrival in Singapore. This light-up will take place from 20 to 22 March 2025, from 7 pm to 12 am.

WICKED Costumes Showcase

There will be a display of WICKED musical costumes featuring stage costumes worn by the musical’s beloved characters. This includes Glinda’s gown and a never-before-displayed costume worn by the character Madame Morrible. The display is framed by gold railings and pink tulips inspired by the colourful fields of Munchkinland.

It is located outside Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

WICKED CrazyShakes and Cocktails

From 19 March to 27 April, Black Tap will be offering over-the-top CrazyShakes inspired by the popular characters Glinda and Elphaba.

The For Good CrazyShake ($28++) is a strawberry swirl milkshake with a vanilla frosted rim, pink and white pearl sprinkles topped with whipped cream, pink and white cotton candy, rock candy and a chocolate-coated cake pop.

The Something Bad CrazyShake ($28++) is a dark chocolate peppermint milkshake with vanilla frosted rim with crushed oreos and crowned with a slice of chocolate cake. The milkshake is topped with a chocolate witch hat and a pretzel broom stick.

LAVO Singapore is also offering two WICKED-themed rum-based cocktails – WICKED Rose Sour ($27++) and WICKED Pandan Colada ($27++).

WICKED Rose Sour is a delightful pink elixir that features hints of coconut, rose syrup, milk and lemon. WICKED Pandan Colada comprises of banana liqueur, pineapple juice, coconut cream, lime juice and pandan syrup.
