Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula: Skin Therapy Oil – Why I Love Oils

IMG_1732

Oil has its name tainted with the one fat. But it isn’t all that nasty or disgusting because everyone needs a little bit of oil which makes your skin glow and youthful. I’ve been using alot of organic and natural plant-based oils to moisturize and soften my dry skin. I use it sparingly on my neck and more generously on the rest of my body.

Here’s one product which I’ve been asked to review and try it out. I ended up liking this product very much because firstly, it’s vegan-friendly, cruelty free, smells great, absorbs so easily into the skin and therapeutic. It’s Palmers’ Skin Therapy oil which is a multi-purpose skin perfecting dry oil for face and neck. They are well-known for their Cocoa butter formula that is ultra moisturizing for the skin.
They usually include key ingredients like Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Extra
Virgin Olive Oil in their products.

Ingredients from Nature:

Pure Cocoa Butter, Sesame Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil,
Macadamia Nut Oil, Rosehip Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Camelina Oil
and Argan Oil

(Free of parabens and phthalates)

Benefits of each ingredient:

1. Pure Cocoa Butter provides deep moisturising effects.

2. Sweet Almond Oils contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E, Omega 9 and
Omega 6 fatty acids.

3. Argan Oil has twice as much vitamin E as olive oil, rich in essential
fatty acids and antioxidants.

4. Coconut Oil helps to moisturise by forming a protective barrier.

5. Macadamia Nut Oil is rich in antioxidants especially vitamin E.

6. Apricot Oil is rich in essential fatty acids oleic acid, linoleic
acid and Vitamin A. It helps retain elasticity, clarity and suppleness in the skin.

7. Rosehip Oil is a natural source of Vitamin A and other anti-ageing
properties.

8. Sesame Oil is a natural sunscreen which helps repair damaged skin cells
and reduces antibacterial infections.

The combination of all these rich goodness in these ingredients helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, lightens dark spots, moisturizes dry ageing skin, brightens skin tone and evens skin tone. It’s so rich in vitamin E which also helps to heal rough skin and lightened scars.

Product Verdict: This product is meant for the face and neck but I use it only on my neck and chest area as oils don’t usually work well on my easily clogged and sensitive skin. It might be too rich for my skin as well. But I really like how it softens the skin especially my neck area where aging lines will start to appear. I’m in my late twenties and it’s the best time now to use rich moisturizers or oils to prevent the necklines from deepening or forming. It penetrates quickly into the skin so you won’t have that oily sticky finish. I would recommend this product for those with more mature skin or those skin types which can work well with oils.
