Knowledge is power. When you are able to understand your skin inside out, you are in better control of your skin condition. I’ve a combination skin type where sometimes my T-zone would get really oily while sometimes my cheek area will get dry and this depends on the weather as well as the product I’m using. I knew my skin well enough to know that I should be using mild and light textured products, preferably water-based gel and oil-free lotions that doesn’t clog the pores. Once I stick to my own skin mantra, my skin would remain pimple-free with fewer blemishes.
There are some products which suits my skin type and I tend to stick to it but I tend to use different products from different range and brands because either their moisturizers are too rich and creamy or their cleanser is too drying on my skin. I believe that there aren’t many suitable product range of a particular brand that really cater to my skin needs but recently, I have discovered one such range which caters to what my skin exactly needs. It’s Curel Sebum care series which its products are formulated for oily and sensitive or combination skin type. Even though it’s specifically catered to this skin type and I felt that this products is rather versatile and is suitable for other skin types too.
I wouldn’t say that this range will do wonders to your skin by treating acne and pore-size problem. Rather, I find these products really effective at maintaining a pH balance in the skin to keep it looking well-moisturized, supple and healthy. It’s an everyday skincare product and I’ve been using these 3 products on a daily basis as well.
The Curél Sebum Care range comprises of a Foaming Wash, Lotion and Moisture Gel which offers the skincare essentials to properly manage both skin sensitivity and sebum secretion.
Sebum’s pretty much our enemy because excess sebum not only clogged the pores along with the oil, dirt and bacteria that results in acne but it also aggravates skin sensitivity. This is because excess sebum deteriorates the skin layer with its alkalinity that causes flare-ups in the skin.
One of the ways to prevent excess sebum formation is to control the pH of the skin. Curel Sebum care products are formulated in such a way to rebalance the skin at its optimal pH for the skin to function at its maximum and preventing the formation of excess sebum. It is also infused with antiphlogistic, an active ingredient that relieves inflammation and in terns helps prevent
the occurrence of acne.
1. Curel Sebum Care Foaming Wash $19.80/150ml
It’s releases ultra fine foam when you press down the pump. It’s a good job in getting rid of the excess sebum without stripping off the natural moisture sitting on our faces. A cleanser is definitely one that gently removes any impurities from your skin without causing any harm to your skin.
2. Curel Sebum Care Lotion $24.90/150ml
This lotion is to be used before applying the moisture gel for better absorption of the moisturizer. What it does is to prep the skin before moisturizing. It’s non-sticky formula is the very reason why I’m loving their care lotion so much.
3. Curel Sebum Care Moisture Gel $34.90/120ml
The liquid base gel further allows the product to be absorbed easily by the skin. A gentle pat is all your will need in order to get the product to work on your face without having to use a rubbing action to massage the product into it.
