Teatime treats + BFF time @ TCC
Weekends are usually my cheat days where I would reward myself the food which I onced love to eat and indulge in. You could say that I wasn’t very discipline in keeping a 80/10/10 raw vegan food diet which consists of 80 % raw food and 10 % protein and 10 % fat. Right now, I felt that I am mostly eating 60% raw and 40 % processed food. Gradually, I’m intending to up the scale to 80% raw once I am able to be more discipline and learn how to curb my food temptations.
Enough about diets, let’s take a break, unwind and have tea. I haven’t met my two lifetime favourite buddies for a long time and it’s a great catch up session.
The high tea set at TCC was pretty good, I must say. Their high tea items had changed since my last visit to TCC for their weekday high tea. This time, they had more savoury items which adds a nce balance to the sweet treats on the high tea plate.
Sweet delights: Lemon mini macaron and mini apple cake – pleasing to the eye and satisfying for the stomach.
Since TCC is now almost island-wide, you no longer have to prowl high and low for a tea boutique for high tea because now almost every franchised cafes or tea salons are serving high quality delicious food and beverages. The food standards are definitely upped this time.
I had a long break from caffeine so my body is now my sensitive to the high dosage of caffeine in this cup of black coffee. I was rattling and chattering non-stop with my friends during the conversation. Perhaps that was why people drink tea and coffee over meetups to keep the conversation going?
A parade of delicious high-tea ensemble for a relaxing mid-afternoon soiree.
