Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) Asia’s premier tropical garden and flower show has returned for its sixth installment from 23 – 31 July 2016 at Gardens by the Bay. This nine-day event is the largest show to-date, spanning 9.7 hectares across The Meadow, Flower Dome and Bayfront Plaza.
This year’s Singapore Garden Festival is truly spectacular. Some of the photos you’ve seen online do no justice to the majestic display of flowers and plants here at Gardens By The Bay. It’s really one-of-a-kind and I am super impressed by the organizers’ efforts in making this event a huge feast for the eyes, heart and spirit. It’s one gigantic learning hub for people of all ages.
The ticket prices are made affordable so that everyone, especially locals and enjoy this spectacular display and at the same time to discover the beauty of nature.

There are 4 different entrances at Singapore Gardens Festival which covered the Meadows and Bayfront Ave at Gardens By The Bay. The nearest entrance from Bayfront MRT is Counter C.
There is a total of 8 show highlights which are all worth checking out while you are there. You can literally spend almost the whole day there just to view all the exhibits and cover the grounds.
1. Best of Show Designer Gardens
It’s an exquisite showcase of landscape and fantasy gardens which are creatively designed by local and international designers. It’s also where you get to enjoy some cool air if it’s really hot outside.
2. Floral Windows to the World
Designers get creative with flowers and the displays there looked really spectacular. It’s one of my favorite exhibits.
3. Orchid Extravaganza @ Flower Dome
You will get to see award-winning orchid hybrids here and a lot of other rare species of orchids. It’s one of the best flower display at Flower Dome thus far. There are more than 10,000 orchid plants to check out.
4. Balcony Gardens
Get inspired with the stunning plant displays and gather ideas on how to transform your own balcony into a beautiful one.
5. Celebrations! Floral Table series
These table floral arrangements are so beautifully designed and I was so inspired to decorate my dining table with flowers too.
6. Community Gardens

7. Learning Garden
This is a place for the kids to see, touch and learns about the uses of plants. There’s even an activity sheet for children to complete.
8. Marketplace
It’s a free access to the Marketplace where you can get plant tools, seeds, pots, flowers and all sorts of decorative plants. I didn’t even know that we have so many local entrepreneurs in this plant cultivating business. There’s also a place to munch on local delights and free nightly performances there.
Below are a whole lot of shots which I’ve taken at Singapore Garden Festival. There’s just so many beautiful plants and artwork to capture. My camera literally ran out of battery after combing the grounds for about 4 hours.
I entered from Ticketing C so I went to the Fantasy Gardens first after walking past Benny’s Sunflower Farm and Gary’s Musical Flower Field.

Spending 5 minutes every day in this beautiful natural space can feed and satisfy my soul.
This is the Meadow stage and there are several activities lined up at this open spaces. How I wish the festival could be extended a little longer! One week is way too short.

We went in before the opening hours so we get to catch a glimpse of the artists at work.
This is beyond your imagination.
By now, you have every reason to get a ticket and check out this Garden Festival before it is gone.
It’s better than any Hello Kitty event.
This is where I wanted my future green home to look like – a spacious living space with lots of greens.
The festival stretches all the way from the Meadow, Bayfront Plaza to the Flower Dome where you can view a variety of award-winning orchids.
After exploring the Flower Dome, I headed back to Bayfront Ave to check out the rest of the exhibits.
